»Thoughts on 1.9/Explaining some 1.9 stuff

Duel wielding:
Rating: 7/10 could be better
I used to be a big fan of the Mine and Blade mod, I really enjoyed the duel wielding aspect to it. Duel wielding in 1.9 could be better in some aspects, but its still really nice. You can duel wield food and a weapon, or blocks and a pickaxe if your exploring or mining.
New food:
Rating: 9/10 would love chorus fruit to be nerfed
When 1.9 came out I was stoked to play it, so I loaded up a world. When I spawned in I found a village with beetroots, a new addition to the foods. It restores 1 hunger shank, can be used to make red dye, you can breed pigs with it, and make Beetroot soup, which restores 3 hunger shanks. The new Chorus fruit can only be found after defeating the ender dragon. It will restore 2 hunger shanks, cooks into popped chorus fruit, and teleport you to a random destination within an 8 by 8 area.
New potions/effects:
Rating: 8/10 Love the new potions
If you play survival on GC then you may have noticed the new potions, lingering potions.

If you didn't get that, they create a cloud when thrown. When walking into that cloud you will get the effect. The cloud lasts for 30 seconds.
If you have tried to make a god apple recently then you have noticed that they have been nerfed. You can not make them anymore they are only obtainable by finding them in chests. Yet you get absorption 4 from them. They can be found in 2.6% of Desert temple chests, 3.1% of dungeon chests, and 1.4% of minecart chests inmineshafts. There is also a new potion, a potion of luck. I haven't really tested it yet, so Im not gonna talk about it.
New mob:
Rating: 9/10 would love more mobs
I love the addition of Shulkers, little purple blocks that levitate you and teleport.

1.9 is great but the whole being able to move other players by shoving them is annoying when you are trying to teleport and also the default texture pack now is horrible, to me at least. Not a huge fan of it at all. Other than that Mojang did quite well.
