»PotionPvP Update?

so I was on Potionpvp today and commands like / tell and / tp weren't working.
I was just wondering if this is an update and they will remove all of these commands
Or if maybe it's a glitch

I think if you want to spectate someone you have to /follow (idk about the /tell tho never use it)
