It's a visual glitch. If you try crafting the gold ingot with gold nuggets, you'll get the iron ingot back. And also, this is not the place to report this kind of stuff

 

Ahh okay I will report this bug Im pretty sure that it was real My friend got gold nugget from iron ingot.

Re-read what I said, this visual glitch is on survival too and it has been proved that it's just a glitch. No need to report, it happens if you are using 1.7-1.8-1.9-1.10 because iron nuggets were introduced in 1.11

If you check my ban/mute history you can confirm that. Because both says 0.
