»Items disappear from destroyed chests please fix this soon!

What type of bug: When I destroy a chest full of items, sometimes everything disappears. I am sure this is not from entity clear.
Server: survival
Arena (If possible):
Date and time: Now
Visual information(If possible): All of my chests were full. In the screenshots you see my inventory got filled with pumpkin, but after destroying 8 chests there was nothing left on the ground.
The "chest" item itself disappears too.

I don’t have any evidence but I have seen this happen. It’s like there’s an entity cap of some kind for the whole world, and when you break a chest when the world is near the cap, your items don’t appear.
