»Is there any hope left?

I have been waiting for improvements on KitPvP/ArenaPvP and nothing has been done. Everything went downhill.
I made a Combotage I never uploaded consisting of most my combos on GC players with voice hackusations etc. and I waited for months for the players to play PvP gamemodes more in order for there being a point in uploading it. Nothing happend.
Will this server ever improve?
If not, why are people still playing it?

 

for me, GC dying feels like MC dying

 

i haven't rlly found time to play GC since I got interested in other games such as SOTC, DMC5, DS trilogy, Arkham Series, etc. im coming back to play GC occasionally though since I now got uni but i hope that this server can hopefully improve

 

1.7 Pvp is a dying community whose future is destined to only go downhill due to the replacement of the pvp mechanic by mojang. Guildcraft being a leader in the dying server department leaves no exception.

 

Well, I can tell you, that there are updates planned. Although we are not in the position to push out all updates at this moment. So everyone has to be patient. We know that many servers would need an update, but because of everything that has happened behind GuildCraft, we can't push them as soon as we wish we could.

Everything was going well and everybody was happy and all of the GC players were living in peace until someone has started a post about dying things. Internet is dying, Minecraft is dying, Guidcraft is dying and even I am dying along with others. These people have corrupted the entire universe by sending negative energy to everybody. Just be hopeful. It's easy I swear! We all are playing this broken server just like other normal people. Please stop being that person. I beg you to just watch what the hell gonna happen.
If you are worried about the future of the server go and do something useful. I dunno, go give feedback or get help to suggest a thing.

GC obv gonna die unless it adds 1.7 back
add 1.7 at least just for prac/kitpvp

Improvements need time, money and a brain to back that up.

We got time, but no money nor good heads to have a good imagination and work that up.

Well what else are we supposed to say? The only thing I can repeat right now is, that we are not in the position to push a lot of updates fast.

As much as we would like to keep support for 1.7, it got pretty much impossible to still support that old of a version while trying to update servers to the newest minecraft version. Which doesn't mean that PvP Servers are gonna get updated to something newer than 1.8.9. It's about the other servers like Survival and SkyBlock. While we are at it, updating a server to something like 1.13+ requires a lot of work since those versions are quite different from the older versions like 1.12. Which is one of the reasons why Survival doesn't always run flawlessly at the moment. So it takes even more time to update all those servers.

isnt that the purpose of bungee?
u can keep few sub server on an older version while others can run on later versions

ViaRewind and ViaBackwards were made for that purpose
also, if bungee is causing problem, HexoganMC can be used -_-

 

The purpose of the bungee/proxy is just to connect multiple servers to one network. Although if the proxy doesn't let you connect with a 1.7 verison anymore then it's not easily possible to support that version, without "hacking" around that. ViaVersion/Rewind/Backwards don't really help in that regard. Technically we could support 1.7 but it's way too buggy to actually support that version, so there is sadly no way for us to properly support that version anymore. Also I don't get what you mean with your last sentence.

 

HexagonMC is an alternative to Bungee which supports older versions as well

 

I searched for HexagonMC multiple times now and all I find is a Pixelmon Server. Im aware of a BungeeCord fork that has a similar name, I believe its the one we used before, that one didn't get updated anymore though and because of that didn't support 1.15.2 for example.

 

Gc is not making money, the ranks have no value due to staff giving out immense amount of coupons for every stupid event *kitpvp* kek
