After disagreeing and agreeing, I think Guildcraft should add a HCF server; What is HCF? HCF stand for Hardcore Factions, and it's similar to the normal factions but survival based. It's all about pvping (Pot),trapping, and grinding to make more money for your faction to claim land and to get other materials. A main difference is with the commands. You only get faction commands. For ex, /f home, /f show, /f invite, etc. You also get deathbanned once you die. Deathban means that you are kicked from the server (not GC, but HCF) and you won't be able to join for a certain amount of time (most are 1hr). So far, there isn't any cracked Minecraft server that has HCF (Popular servers). So for the cracked users that wants to play/try out HCF, it's either buy a premium account or don't play, which we don't want people to do. Having HCF will not only bring people to Guildcraft, but it will make them stay. You might say "People will just join HCF and leave other servers, making other servers underpopulated and less fun" (I said that before ). Well say a player gets deathbanned for 1hr, what are they gonna do? They have to join another server (which gets the player amount back up) or leave GC until that deathban is over, and since most players will probably from GC, they'll just go to another server. Finally, it's a new gamemode on GC which is always a plus. If Guildcraft adds a HCF server... 1. More admins = less hackers = less xrayers 2. Allow trash talking/minimum swearing in public chat 3. Max player in faction = 5, so it's not 1 power faction talking over the whole server 4. No alliance/teaming with another faction 5. SOTW should make more people join GC 6. Small, but not tiny map with more diamond than the natural spawn. (ofc depending on the amount of players, but I think around a 3kx3k map should do the trick. 7. MORE PVP!!!! 8. Depending on the amount of players that play, say it's 100, have the deathban to around 30-60min. 9. Currently the only server that is you need to "grind" to get better stuff to pvp are KitPVP and Factions (and kidda prison). However, kitpvp is the only server out of the 2 that you can pvp. On factions, most times on weekdays, there's not protection IV pvpers but with HCF, ofc depending on the amount of players, it's about pvp and if most people will be outside of their base mining, basework, pvping, etc. Its not like factions where you stay in your safe base to grind the whole time until after all the grinding you go pvp with your new IV set. And lastly make HCF few months after OP Prison comes out. No need for 2 brand new servers right away and it will also bring more players to the HCF server after a few months of OP Prison. Also server improvements is always>than new servers. (most of the times ) ORSimilar to the current Faction Aqua on TheArchon, have a HCF/Faction mix for next reset Hope you guys like my suggestion and I'll be adding more later. Soup-port! i like the idea, actually to answer your questions, there was a popular server called RebornCraft that had HCF which I onced played on.( Dun worry not advertising, the server shut down :/) that one server had the more players than any others, and attracted most players. though i dun agree with the no alliance thing. How would you have a big "faction" if you only can have 5 members? then there is also no alliances which basically means you can only have 5 people.
First of, thanks for your support! With the alliance thing, most HcF premium servers that I play on (Arcnae, Faithful) have a max faction player at 30 per faction. However, if GC implied that 'rule' that one faction would rule the server, unless another faction has around but 30 players (which would still be mainly fac v fac rather than fac v others). So having it at 5 will not only make the factions fair and even, it would create a lot of factions. Lastly, for the alliance thing, factions could just all team up which goes back to the 30 man faction problems.
I say no In my opinion no faction like server should be introduced until faction gets atleast 200+ players at once on normal days, its already impoving greatly from last reset and i dont think its a good idea to so something that could split the playerbase atm.
Even though HCF is a gamemode that's starting to take over MC, it wouldn't fit GC Not because it isn't a server associated with PvP , but because the players wouldn't be able to respond to such a hectic gamemode. I don't even think there are 10 people that actually know how to PotPvP well(not that im one of them, but im decent enough to play that). Plus until new Staff join HCF it would be pure chaos.GC are so strict when it comes to staff apps that it would take like a month for an admin to show up, meaning that in the meanwhile HCF is going to be HackerCity.. Even with HCF a lot more staff applications would have to be gone through and a lot more staff have to be active since its supposed to be hard to make sure no cheating/hacks
Agree. However, like I said, it's impossible to not die in HCF, and with the deathban, they could play factions. However, not being unoptimistic, but I doubt factions will reach 200+ players this reset, but I really think GC can do it with more improvement to factions!
I like ur idea. i'd like to make a suggestion, why not make it with the hcf style but mix it with factions. By this I mean like there would be raiding like a regular faction with tnt and all that stuff, a limit to spawners resources would have to be gathered rather than buying it. Now the pvp would be Hp2 str 2 speed 2 gapples would be disable and the crafting receipe would be disable. derps/crushers trap would be bannable. Thts all folks.
I'm here before AsyFrost comes and locks the thread saying "We wont do it" without giving any reason at all.
Like your suggestions and if they they add it it, maybe there will still be no suchlike hinge as warps Andy or have to make spawn runs
