Hey there, just got to thinking about it and an idea for the drops popped into my head. To make it a little better you could give whoever buys the Drop in question that item, and the drop command. To make it fair and non P2W, the player who activates the drop can't pick it up. Would be EULA compliant as the drop is fair for everyone, and boost sales as the player gets the item they payed for without having to fight for it. I only suggest this as I've bought multiple drops (my party helped me get them and in return they got to keep/use a few of them) but it's very nerve wracking to have to sprint through pvp just to have a shot at it. Just my 2 cents, and I'm sure y'all could improve upon it a bit, make it a fully worthwhile idea.
Yes but it's a huge pain to get them for yourself/friends and it would boost profits as people would buy the stuff for themselves and be able to give back to the other players
It is not a pain, you need to learn how to camp and check the frequency of where the crate will spawn.
We got 10/10 of the keys he bought, so that's not the problem. But it is a pain to return back to safe zone with all the guys trying to hunt you down with ender pearls and stuff and the playervault is full. That being said, i do believe this suggestion violates the eula..
Get a friend to be in a safe ass area, and do .trade + the warzone is large enough so you can get lost easily ^^
So taking time out of doing whatever it is that I'm doing to camp at pvp 24/7 (or close enough) isn't a waste of time? And "learning," as you call it, to anticipate where a crate will randomly spawn is also a bother. It's still p2w, it's just a bother because you have time it right and can't just use your purchase. I've done 12 keys and got every one of them (p2w) and it's annoying to wait on the people to clear out so I can my prize. At least my suggestion makes it so people can't go claim their drops like I've been doing after they've already got a key/obby item, and when they do drop it the chances are fair that someone else will wind up with it. Unless they wanna spend their in game cash to buy it from them, which would still be boosting other players stats and not their own
why have you automatically assumed we are talking about facs? We have only done these on survival where the PvP area is much smaller, by the time you trade someone, you'd be combat tagged probably, and being so small its not hard to hunt someome by using enderpearls
Based on what you've just said, EULA forces a fair chance for all players, thus having the item drop on your head would simply be against the EULA, as per EULA you must have items that can be ACCESSED by all players, thus because there is only a 5 second drop-time it would basically be against the EULA, as it is very easy to put it into your /pv or simply to trade it away from there. Suggest something else, regardless to say this can't be done in any way you've suggested, you pay for it, but you run the risk of others getting it, and thats simply how it works because of how EULA has forced MC servers to go against paying to win or atleast the chance of others being able to reap the profits of people trying to pay 2 win. Even if it isn't the player who bought it picking it up, if it lands purposefully in a location where not all players can have a chance at accessing in a given time, it really does "bend" EULA, which the EULA isnt meant to be flexible.
Survival, unlike factions, is easier to get out of, and requires much less effort, I haven't seen survival's warzone, but based on what it has been the past resets, the ladders that're there aren't there on factions, thus a major balance between the two.
I get what you're trying to say but believe me its not that easy, right as the drop event flashes on the screen everyone rushes to warp PvP. the safe zone is a square shaped platform between the PvP area, as opposed to being on the borders in previous resets. Many players flood this area and getting to and climbing the stairs is hard best bet is to put it in your vault
