Hi, I've been playing on GuildCraft off and on for quite a few years now and never has the lag for me been as bad as it is now. Before I go any further I will say that it is most definitely 100% NOT my internet. On any other server, website, game, etc. I have amazing ping always below 50ms and most of the time below 20ms, but on GC I never have below around 120ms... In past years my ping was not like this on GC, it use to be relatively nice but recently it has been terrible. My theory is that the high ping is due to my location being the East Coast of the US. So my question is, is there any way to fix my ping (besides moving to Europe .-.) or am i going to have to live with 200-1000 ping on GC forever?
I get 20 ping on most US servers but I think GC is hosted around the Netherlands, I've seen more EU players get better ping. I live in the US btw
Same here I created support ticket but axed never replied back I live in middle east my net is fine also it was like this until june
Yeah idk if there's anything they can do about it. I'd sure hope so tho I'm tired of getting hundreds to 1k ping. @aXed @short1der idk who else to tag. Ty.
Yeah its a dutch server so eu will get better ping. Sudden lag spikes are prolly caused by ur router or smth not the server
That’s the thing though, I don’t believe that’s the case. I get amazing ping on any other server with no spikes and I’ve even tried resetting my router on multiple occasions during my GC spikes... :/
my ping recently has been absolutely terrible, tried resetting router, reconnecting, doing updates. on some other servers my ping is below 100, on gc is spikes up to like 600 then down to 200
personally im on ethernet and i live in Canada, far away from europe / Netherlands and i have never experienced such a thing, dunno if its ethernet or just my location, but i thought id share.
dude and at temple koth today my ping went up to 1500 and i obv died but it took we like 5 mins to actally die on my screen
Yeah I'm not sure what the issue is, but it seems to be either hit or miss with people far away. I've heard some people that are also in the US and Canada say they get great ping, but others (like mine) are terrible. I'll try playing on ethernet and see if that solves anything. Ty. --- Double Post Merged, Oct 14, 2018, Original Post Date: Oct 14, 2018 --- Definitely not the router, even during these lag spikes if i try to do anything else my connection is great, but back on GC its terrible. I just dont know anymore lol
I started using ethernet yesterday and I'm not sure if it's an odd coincidence or if it actually helped but my ping has been a consistent 100-105 with a few 150 spikes
If your connection wasn't stable before then Ethernet could help. But you were talking about huge spikes and bad ping. Also don't forget I'd anyone else is using your connection and it's not that fast things can slow down.
Yes it’s been very stable but still odd that ethernet resolved it as my ping was good and still remains good everywhere else. Honestly idk anymore lol. My ping was great everywhere else on wifi and only had spikes on GC. Then i tried ethernet and it was great on GC too. As for the other people being on the internet that shouldn’t affect it because i have fioptics.
