When I bought the server back in November, I honestly believed fixing things would be simple. I've been part of this community since 2016 - first as a player, then as a staff and I thought I knew what was needed to be done. From the outside, the problems seemed manageable, I knew what it felt like to wait months for updates, to see the same bugs and lack of events, and yet still log in because of how good the community was. The server would have died much earlier had it not been for the community.

When I took over and finally received everything, I realised just how deep the issues ran. A lot of things were either outdated, broken or just flat out missing. From a player's perspective I get that it looks like I'm making more excuses but I'll put my hand up and say I failed.
One of the main promises I made and the one I've failed the most is open communication, I've been quiet when I should've been present and again not looking to blame anyone or ask for forgiveness. Its simple, I didn't meet expectations, I stumbled early. But we haven't given up.

Its not something I want to dwell on or use as an excuse as I understand everyone goes through things but I've had a lot of personal things going on behind the scenes. Fortunately most of it is in the past and I even finish University next week.
The reason I bought GuildCraft wasn't just because I wanted to own a server. It was because this server is where I started from. Where I met incredible people and made great memories. GuildCraft has been around for almost a decade, that's not some old server that is legacy.

One thing I was quite sad about not receiving when I bought the server was the forums. After the server, forums was the best thing. For some that might not be a big deal but for others, its a piece of history. This is just the beginning, there will be more activity from now on but here is a glimpse of to look for:

I can't promise perfection, but I can promise that we're pushing forward. There is still work to do but the vision hasn't changed. To everyone that has supported me I appreciate it, to the people who are angry or annoyed I promise I will do better.
