Watermelon is a not a good food source. It gives you 0.6 saturation each, being a distraction in PVP and mining. Whereas, if golden carrots (which are the most saturated stackable item) were added, Annihilation would have fewer pauses. Saturation dictates the rate of hunger and a higher one will reduce the need to eat more effectively.
These items should come in many varieties. Eight items in an upgraded kit, one item for every two emeralds in the emerald shop, and as a transmutation ability that costs relatively low, like 5,000 XP. I don't think that terrible foods should be part of the game, so I want these foods to be easily accessible.
You could also look into status effect foods, including golden apples, super golden apples, chorus fruits, and suspicious stew. Something tells me that this would unfairly shift the balance of the game, but I'll leave on the table. To be fair, Annihilation hasn't changed much. Same kits, same maps, same gameplay. I want to see a dynamic change like the price of the kits (too expensive), the themes of the maps (a lot of them are naturey, rather than scenic, like a spaceship), and the as-for-mentioned food.
Now, on to loyalty points. If players feel like they aren't earning anything by visiting the server routinely because their hard work will be erased, they'll be more inclined to leave. I'm envisioning that every month that they're active, the rate that they gain XP should increase by a relatively significant percentage, about 1% or 1 in every 100. This should apply to post-resets and is a fine way to establish long-term loyalty in your demographic.
And another thing. I understand that you have to make money off of kits and cosmetics, but isn't it better to just sell mechandise and plug it on the server. I find this is ineffective for adults and is manipulative to children. You say on minecraft-server-list.com you want to bring a premium experience to people who can't afford Minecraft, a game costing 26.99 USD, but I can't believe you are selling pay-to-win items like they're packets of crack cocaine.
I started this post to suggest an idea, but now I realize this business model is worse than that of lootcrates. Your store has lootcrate keys for sale and that is truly ironic. Good bye, Guildcraft forever.

Uh... you made a huge statement, but I don't actually think you've played enough Annihilation (on this server at least).
Before Annihilation 1.0, you could find carrots on some maps and smelt gold to get golden carrots. Maps like Eyron and Coastal has sheeps, cows and pigs which you can kill to get cooked meat (if you arent a wuss about being a vegetarian if you are one that is)

To balance the game properly, it makes sense for someone who factors saturation as a strategy. Thus, making golden carrots (for an example) matter rather than not. Ever heard of the cliche phrase? "High risk, high reward" - when it comes to farming, yeah.

For Annihilation 2.0, there are transmutations. I disagree on the XP purchase cost buff, since everyone would be getting it too quickly, hence making Annihilation getting unbalanced quickly.

Lastly, about the P2W, personal boosters does not impact the Annihilation game directly, although you gain advantages faster. But play time must be a factor too. In my opinion, the personal boosters aren't as p2w as compared to other things available. Do you need ender chest slots, prestige tags or more than 1 max kit to fully enjoy your Annihilation experience?
