»Gain More Players By Youtuber Rank

Yes, as you can see from the title, it would be better if GC add youtuber rank into the server, i know this might be suggested by someone else before me.
You can imagine that if a youtuber gain 1000 likes or around 3000 viewers in every vids that he played on a server (GC), it can bring many players that doesn't know about GC, to play here. And also imagine if many youtubers like 20 youtubers promote our server by youtube, it bring massive players and this is efficient way to get many players to play on our server.
Many youtubers like creepersedge, skydoesminecraft, ohtekkers, promote their server by youtube video, and its good way to gain players.

By adding youtuber rank into GC, our GC players will be competing to make their own channel and youtube video, to get the requirements and get this rank. It's a way that GC be grateful to their youtubers for promote their server and bring many players, and it's beneficial for both.

How you will get youtuber rank?

There should be requirements that a youtuber should be fullfilled. For example, youtuber must have video about GC in more than 1-Hours (10 videos), and monthly video, so it's not permanent (or we can think about this later on)
And that 10 minimum videos about GC must have not less than 1000 likes or 5000 viewers, and youtubers should video about their gameplay in GC server of course with ip server as annotations.

And youtuber rank should be added in faction at it's first, before other sub-servers.

What the feature will youtuber rank can access?

Many features like fly, their own kit, and youtuber rank should works like Legend ranks (in faction), but lower than Legends. And if player has rank higher than legend, it can be doubled rank, with added features in it, like access youtubers kit instead of their kit.

+1 on the YouTube idea. I made a short forum post on it before. I believe GC can grow a long way of something is implemented.

 

Good Suggestion m8 . Maybe also add a Rank called FAMOUS which will be basically for Twitch streamers !!

 

Not sure we clarified this before but uh, making a youtuber rank has already been something axed said YES to. He may not have entirely done it, but trust me, it takes abt 5 mins to get it done. The problem being is that we try to find youtubers who can actively record and upload, but none seem to want to record. As much as i want us to have youtubers, they just dont want to record for us.

 

Many of community players have suggested to several head-admins some youtubers with 40k+ Subs who ACTUALLY upload and were ready to play on the server in exchange for simple fee like 50$ per video. But none of the head-admins listened.
If you guys really willing to make GC alive again. go find youtubers your self and contact them. offering real money not just coupons. It's worth it in the end.

50 bucks per video is a crap load of money in case u didnt realise. The whole point of a youtuber is to help us. Let me explain the math to you. lets say the youtuber has an active viewership and gets 5k views per video. Assuming they love their youtuber, a good 75 percent will try the server, but only 50 percent of the 5k will actually stay. so were down to 2.5k new players, awesome right? Now think abt it this way. If the players dont like the gamemode, but simply play cause their youtuber is playing, odds are they wont donate. The whole point of youtubers is to bring ppl thatll open up their wallets to us, and frankly, paying 50 dollars per video and hoping ppl donate is not going to help us but rather make it worse. Now this is a worst case scenario, but as a cracked server with only so much funding, we cant afford such expensive mistakes, thus why we are all on the fence abt people waltzing in and asking for 50 dollars per video.

 

You can't expect to get money if you don't spend money first. I mean this is how investments work right? RIGHT?

 

it is, but as i mentioned, we cant afford to make such mistakes, as if we do, the consequences could be catastrophic.
