»Lack Of Staff.

I've spent just under a week now on the Survival server, really enjoy my time here but I feel there is a sleight problem with lack of staff.

There have been countless occasions where a player has been spamming/abusive in chat without any staff being online. While I understand its near impossible to have constant staffing there is a massive gap in the day where there may be none. Even if there are staff online they will be afk and completely useless. (Apart from Xeph, She is on a lot of the time and always sorts out a problem to the best of her abilities i.e perms)

The admins who do come on rarely type in chat nor seem to exist once on.

I had an occasion on the server today where a player by the name Nameless greeted me as I am a relatively new player then proceeded to send me the N word with a hard R in /msg. I'm sure racial slurs are not acceptable to be used in any fashion on the server. I left a report maybe 5 hrs ago and nothing has been done about it. I messaged Xeph about it but she couldn't see chat logs and I didn't get a screenshot at the time, was too busy /ignoring the player (Who also continued to talk shit about me)

In my 22hrs of playing this week I've encountered an admin and the headadmin once each and the rest of the time its just been Xeph keeping the peace. I feel as if there needs to be more active staff on the server in order for it to run smoother and in the end of the day retain a larger player base. Nobody wants to see someone spamming the letter III or spam posting some comment about their dog 20 times, there have been times where I've just turned chat off on the server.

Im sorry that it bothers you but our staffs are human you can't expect them to be online or active all the time.Secondly about the reports on Nameless have you tried reporting it on discord (Survival Server). Hopefully you get your reports sorted out ^^

I see your point and sometimes aren't any staff members on creative for like 8 hours. It's the same with every other server, we do need more staff but for the time being we'll have to role with it. And there is always forums so you can report a player, so you don't necessary need staff members online all the time. But I do your point about a lack of staff members x

I asked Lord_Kaioshin to go through the logs to see if nameless02 did say the n-word, but he only checked the chat logs and not commands (as he probably would've done either /r or /msg Symbolicial) - I've asked him to do it now.
I cannot check chat logs or view private messages with Social Spy due to me being a Helper hence why I rely mainly on screenshots. I asked others online if nameless said it in global but none said he did.
Also doing /report does nothing unless its for hacks - for chat offenses you must report either on forums or discord.

I do try to be active all the time but there's times where I physically have to go AFK for a bit due to IRL commitments - plus I am also staff on Creative and EggWars (which is currently inactive and dead) so I have been monitoring BedWars until EggWars 2.0 receives a final update. I try to balance my playtime out on all these servers, whilst doing homework and caring for my family. There's not enough hours in the day to be honest. I am also managing two events, one which is in Progress at the moment and the other which is currently ongoing.

This also doesn't help how the majority of the current Survival Staff are in within the time-zones of Europe (GMT-2 - GMT+6) so there was times where 4 staff members were online at the same time. I do believe that Survival needs to expand its current staff basis alongside the GMT+7 - GMT+13 and GMT-11 - GMT-2. Survival is probably one of the biggest servers on GuildCraft regarding player-count, consisting of 40 players averaging throughout the day. This use to conflict with double mutes and warnings.
Lately, a lot of staff have become inactive due to IRL commitments and requirements, hence why they wouldn't be online. I should be doing the same yet I keep procrastinating.

I'd like to apologise for my inactivity on Creative. I do wish to put more time into Creative as I am currently doing an hour or two each day but I'm on Builder's Block (stuck on how to progress my build) so I am merely doing nothing and it bores me. I like talking on Creative, but if no one is active and no one's talking I get progressively bored. Plus Creative get's averaging around 10-15 players per day and the staff on Creative vary time-zones alongside this. I do plan to become more active on Creative once I generate ideas.
I really need to start finishing off my build so I have more stuff for my portfolio, that may help.

There isn't enough hours in the week, and sooner or later my hours would probably be reduced again due to my strict family. I hope this doesn't happen, as this would lead to my resignation lul.

You're always welcome to report players on our forums or discord servers and a staff member will deal with the issue if sufficient evidence if provided. I have asked several people on Survival if there's an issue which requires a staff member instantly to not hesitate and spam me in direct messages so I may deal with it. I do this when it comes to hackers on BedWars aswell. I remember AquaHime did it around 1am yesterday about a Server Advertiser but it worked and I got them.

We should care more about the lack of players not lack of staff..

 

Yes I did report the player ingame. First time doing so on the server so in future I'll make a post on forums with screenshots didn't think they would be necessary.

Most of the time on survival there's 30+ players and no staff or one helper xeph.

Not sure about other servers but on survival this for sure isnt the case.

You're incredibly active this post wasn't directed in any way at you. You have been a great staff member, the only one I've seen doing a serious amount of moderating of chat and generally helping players.

 

For the most part all you will be able to do is report, or apply after a while

 

Agreed there is a dire shortage of staff currently being experienced on the server. Unfortunately there doesn't seem be any increase in staff as of now. Plus yes, you can report a player with some proof, however for the time being they can continue to break rules until justice has been dealt. We need more staff urgently
