This is kinda of a response/extension to Vojkea's recent thread. In this thread i'll explain how Guildcraft could be advertised and what members AND staff members could do.

Things all members can do:

1. First thing everyone can do is upload videos to their youtube channel about guildcraft. I'm not talking about making a commentary / compilation video or anything but rather something similar to what ReflexMC did which was give a reward to anyone who re-uploaded the server's trailer. This is an effective way to advertise not only because it's free but it can get to a lot of people as long as aXed is willing to give rewards to everyone.
2. A simpler thing members can do is to just simply invite your friends to the server, if each person brings at least 1 friend this would double the daily members which would help the server a lot.
3. Similar to the first suggestion, aXed should tweet some sort of guildcraft trailer video and should encourage all members to re-tweet the trailer (could be possibly done weekly) and every week a new person could get a buycraft voucher reward or some sort of other reward.

Things staff members can do:

1. Staff should host events in the server they're staff on as this can boost the users even if its only during that day, I am aware that some staff teams like factions and skywars do this regularly but however most other staff teams rarely host any kind of event and some dont host some at all. All gamemodes should host an event at least once every month as this can make Guildcraft more active.
2. Most new people who join servers quit after about 10 minutes because they weren't attracted enough to it, my next suggestion is that staff members should be more active and give attention to new players as this can help new people sticking to this server.
3. Staff should be a lot more active on forums, although there is a lot of active staff on forums there is some who just get 30 posts and never make a single post ever again or rarely do, i think staff should be encouraged to use forums and get at least 5 posts a week or something like this. This would improve activity in gc as forums would be more active.

Things aXed can do:

1. aXed should pay websites such as PMC or other voting websites to put Guildcraft on the top of their website, this might be a bit expensive but it can benefit the server a lot as aXed can earn profit back from new people coming in, kind of like investments.
2. Some servers don't get much attention from aXed which leads to resets about once every 2 years, i believe that aXed should give attention to all servers and reset each one of them regularly (or give updates to ones like kitpvp etc...). This would benefit the server a lot as it would increase the daily users on each gamemode that gets reset and would increase activity around guildcraft.
3. Paid developers are a crucial thing in servers nowadays, if aXed wants new unique and smooth gamemodes he cant rely on voluntary work from guildcraft admins. He should be focusing on paying developers to make new games for him as servers nowadays get their players mainly from their unique gamemodes.

What could be advertised:

Anni - Anni 2.0 should be the main server guildcraft should advertise, Anni has a lot of unique features such as all the different unique balanced kits and the clans feature. There is a kit rotation every week which can help new players give a fight with other anni grinders. This gamemode is very balanced and there isn't any big p2w features apart from the xp multipliers.

Kitpvp - although this one might sound as a joke, kitpvp is actually pretty unique from most other kitpvp servers and it works different from other kitpvp servers, Guildcraft's kitpvp combines a normal kitpvp server and the concept of souping in the map, although other servers have souping Guildcraft's kitpvp encourages you to save up your soups instead of spamming them as you cant just click a sign or something to re-earn your soups back (Unless you are using the peasant kit). Some of the kits in kitpvp are also unique as some of them have abilities unlike most kitpvp servers which just have kits and thats it. I believe that if aXed gives more attention to this server it can attract a lot of new members who are fans of the kitpvp concept.

House party - Although this is still not an actual thing yet as aXed hasn't confirmed he wants this gamemode, short's idea could be the first step to Guildcraft being a more original server like TheRagingCrafter keeps ranting about. No other servers would have this gamemode and we could attract a lot of people using this gamemode as this sounds like a fun idea as long as the deliver is as good as short's suggestion.

Nice suggestions, although you didn't mention voting which is a simple way to increase the servers popularity. But it's pretty hard to do that with a small server.

 

I especially like your idea about reposting of a server trailer. I'll definitely give that a spin next Faction reset. Perhaps the reward would be a few keys (uncommon, rare, myth) or a 3x use exclusive kit (or something like that).

Custom enchants? Lenny

 

Personally, I would really like custom enchants on Factions but we will see. If they get added, then fo sho.

 

They are a good way to bring players over because they make GC unique, and custom enchants make the game better anyway.

 

I can see custom enchants coming to gc in the near future

 

But I’m Not on here most of the time. Only Friday’s and Saturday’s.

 

Paying for advertisement wont do shit unless he first fixes his damn server . I used to get 135ms from 2k14-2k17(early).I dont play MC anymore but everytime I login its over 300ms!

it really does depend on where you are living though..
Some players enjoy the servers more and get good ping while others get horrible ping.
not only gc is like that, but every server is.

nah mate I think u didnt get what I said.I am a wellknown player from fac when we used to play, & I lived in the same city then & still livei n the same city.Just saying the perfomance dropped after players dropped.Dont rly care to be honest I only play PUBG or Dota with my gf but come on sometimes to say hi

 

there trash would end up like faction dimension with 5 players.

well i thought you moved to another country since your ping has dropped segnificantly, as you said.
My ping hasn't changed at all since early 2014 so idk whats wrong w/ the server
