    deejay the wonderful thing about ethernet is low latency. the reason a wireless connection is bad is if say your on a 2.4 g connection and a microwave is turned on, it completely bombs ur speeds due to high latency. With ethernet, there is no possible interence, thus low latency, thus low ping. i too used to experience ping spikes but ever since i switched to ethernet none of that.

    I'm not much of a tech guy, but now i know that ethernet is definitely the way to go. Now i just need a longer cable so it's less of a stretch from my router. Thanks, you can lock this if you'd like. :)
