Faction Raid Event​

Hey! We have a brand new event coming this month. This raid event will contain lots of prizes such as items, spawners, and Buy-craft Coupons! Official dates and any important information regarding rules will be listed bellow​

Date & Time: Aug 21st 4:00 PM CEST / 10:00 AM EDT
Dates Will Change If Necessary

Information:
This raid event is simple. Each team/player gets teleported to their OWN base. Each player/team is granted 20 minutes to build a cannon. Once the time limit has passed TNT will be enabled and players will be able to fire their cannons. If you or your team is not able to finish building the cannon you may continue to build it even after the time limit passes. Prizes will be based on whoever gets inside the base the fastest. The first 5 teams inside will all receive prizes.

Rules:
There are no different cannoning rules for this event. All cannon rules we have currently are applied.

FAQ​

How Many Players Per Team?
You can have as many as players per team. If you have no friends then just go solo!

Can I Raid If I Finished My Cannon?
You May Raid After 20min. Shooting before that time is pointless as TNT will be disabled.

Can I Left/Right Shoot?
Yes you can! No rules have been changed for this event.

What Type Of Loot Can I Find In The Base?
Spawners, God Gear, Ceggs, Gapps, And Cakes! Remember this base is just like any other, You need to work for the loot! The harder the loot is to get the better it is.

Do I Need To Bring Gear And Supplies?
No, Items for cannoning such as blocks and tnt and Gear will be supplied. Free /tntfill will be available.

Do I need to pay to enter? Who Do I Pay It Too?
Each team member must pay $5000 In Game Money to participate! This Will somewhat balance the economy. And Yes, another team member can help pay.shrugFace

Why always peace of shit events dam al the og likes only pvp events.
look back to 2014 when obby was unbreakable 4k players you wont bring peoples back for CANNON events.

Our last 3 events were pvp based. How many more do you want? We need something different other than red rovers and pvp related events.
You want unbreakable obby? whats the point of factions and making bases.

While the event takes place, do other people continue their thing like build/raid/farm etc.?

If you are not in the event then you can continue on whatever you want to do.

As @mr_awesome2k12 already said, Guildcraft's faction server (and therefore GC itself) reached its peak when obsidian was unbreakable. As someone who played both Minecraft and GC since their release, I don't think that unbreakable obby has a negative effect on factions gameplay. A safe place to store gear means more pvp, as players are taking way more risks. More pvp means more power loss, keeping raids and claiming more exciting. It was also easier to build a beautiful base inside a huge obby box. New players have more chance to survive and keep up with the rest of the server, as they won't be raided in their first few days by some tryhard cannon guys. It's too easy to discard unbreakable obby as pointless, and the thousands of old faction players who had tons of fun can confirm that.

All of the above doesn't take away the fact that it's nice to see staff organizing events for their players.

 

if you want to make a beautiful base without the risk of loosing power i suggest you play survival.

And what will there be to raid?

 

yea i kinda agree with master, how would u raid someone if they have an unbreakable obby box aside from insiding

 

Just make a base on the end corner in 2015 no one could raid ya or make a pig spawner vault since spawners were indestructible

 

Easy enough, every base has its flaws, as does every faction. There were more than enough raids in the 3 years that obby was unbreakable. Saying that it's better to play survival when obby is unbreakable on factions is bs, GC was perfectly fine those days.
