It's a good thing that my username is anonymous so you don't know who I am cause I am noobish, but here is my idea: Trickster Kit [25,000xp] Use your ability to spawn a decoy of yourself and gain invisibility for a few seconds There should be a cooldown, maybe in the range of 30-seconds. Set of Wooden Tools, (Some item that represents the ability) Ability Right-click the item that represents your ability and it will spawn a decoy of yourself that is immobile and you get 3-second invisibility. If a decoy survives (unlikely), it will disappear after 10 seconds I'd say. Upgrades These upgrades are temporary ideas: Upgrade 1: Increase invisibility by 2 seconds [15,000xp] Upgrade 2: When the decoy is destroyed by an enemy, they get slowness for 3 seconds [20,000xp] Upgrade 3: When the decoy is destroyed, the person and any nearby enemies also get slowness [25,000xp] Explanation The purpose of the kit is to trick your opponents to think they have killed you but they haven't, you will also not get XP for killing the decoy. It is also an effective way to kill your enemy by distracting them with the decoy and attacking them back. The 3-second invisibility is less than Assassin so that it can be balanced if added. Overall it is an adversary to one of the most dominant kits, Assassin. Feedback If you guys like this idea, please feel free to comment your opinions or further ideas about the kit. I am looking forward to the feedback and will decide on the upgrades and costs later if you guys like the kit. Thanks for reading
Well i think the kit is way too simple: most players don't like using support kits and this one doesn't really reward the player for choosing it. People would probably prefer using Assassin, Phantom or Spy instead of this one. (Also, we got an upgrade that changes armor color) As an advice i'd tell you to ask yourself "Why would I choose this kit over [opkit]?" "Is this kit fun to play?"
Well I mentioned in the question if it should contest with the cheaper kits, not everyone has a personal booster
Indeed, but people normally need good pvp kits for their first 5k, because they will use it later to get 20k<. That's basically because i think people won't waste XP on a support kit, and will probably end up buying Archer / Warrior or upgrading Civil.
Not to mention the ability effect is almost completely useless when you are wearing iron armor/not leather.
I revamped it to something new --- Double Post Merged, Jul 4, 2018, Original Post Date: Jul 4, 2018 --- I've changed it completely, I do agree with your guy's ideas and I've totally revamped to something better hopefully
Ok let me try to think of a decent strategy for this. Let's say you are invis rushing and while mining the nexus someone comes over. You then place the decoy and run away and hide then when the guy goes away, you come back and deal more damage. This is very unlikely to happen and probably not the best use but maybe someone else can think of something better.
@edward chen Take a look over here and look up Shadow Clone with Ctrl+F (or Command + F if you use a Mac). @TheCatsKing How about you just release the full upgrades list for everything? I don't see why people shouldn't know what a certain kit's upgrades are, especially since we have peeps who max every new kit in a couple days (cough rew cough).
That would be spoilers isnt it? In my opinion, I prefer the kit upgrades to be unknown so that players can have the fun of finding out what the upgrades are, or at least what I think TheCatsKing is trying to do. But as we all know things have gone wrong as there is now a community thread that provides all the information so...
or you can waste all your xp on a kit and find out the upgrades are ass. like thor, good kit to start but the upgrades are useless.
