Heey i resently wanted to play minecraft again. but i am not able to join guildcraft (or anyother server for that fact. i tried if the server was the problem).
Did i miss a change of update or something? with the game itself?
I tried reinstalling but i run in to the same issue.
    Any ideas?

    Regards Dora

Try disabling your firewall. If you're using the regular Windows firewall, each time you update Java the firewall has to create a new rule to allow connections. Usually the dialog box for this is created automatically, and all you have to do is click Yes when prompted. In any other circumstance, you might have to make an exception in your firewall or router.

Most likely your port for Minecraft (25565 or other) is being blocked.

    Try the following:

-Click on profile (might be called different, depending on what launcher you are using)
    -Enable JVM Arguments
Add the following code to the end of the JVM arguments.
    Code:
    -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

If this is not an ipv4/ipv6 or a firewall issue, then I'l bet it's a lingering blacklist problem. What launcher are you using? Have you tried play.guildcraft.nl
