»Player Counts are low... How we can fix that as a community

So hello there to anyone and everyone reading. I was blessed to be able to play guildcraft back in the golden days, when it had so many players the staff team was always short. When there were so many players people wanted to play just because of its high player counts even though it is a dutch server. Now look at us
We used to be in second place you guys, second place on that same very site. I could very easily point out what made us drop to such player counts, but anyone can do that. Complaining is the easiest thing one may do, and thats what most do because they find it much easier. But I am not here to speak of the past, no. I am here to speak of the future. Hypixel wasnt always so famous, but with hard dedication hypixel reaches incredible player counts, well above 55 thousand players. Of course guildcraft is cracked, but if we were able to achieve 3000 players then, whats stopping us now.

This thread was meant to reach out to the community to help guildcraft become its best possible self again. I am about to list a couple of things we can ALL do to help, and of course some things axed can do to help out too.
1. Axed, dear axed, you can still help guildcraft become the guildcraft we all want, but it will cost you. My suggestion to you is you hire a youtuber with not 50k subscribers but 100 views per video, but a youtuber with an average of 500 views or more per video. Pay him a certain amount of money for every 1 - 10 players he brings into guildcraft and give him a 5 percent commision for every dollar the players he brought in spend money purchasing items in the guildcraft store. At first this sounds ridiculous and a waste of money, but keep in mind you will pay him only if he brings players, and by adding in the commision you are giving him motivation to tell his viewers to empty their wallets for this magnificent server.\

2. To everyone else, players, staff members, anyone reading this. You can also help. One of the best ways to help IS BY VOTING. The more votes guildcraft has the higher its ranking, and that will help gc gain more players.

3. Another way the players can help is by telling your friends to join guildcraft and have a great time. After al, everything is better when you have friends around.

4. To those willing to go to the extreme, advertise guildcrafts ip on different servers if you really want to help out and get gc those extra players that might bring their friends along for the ride.

5. Lastly, comment on forum posts on what cracked server should I join or leave comments in youtubers videos about guildcraft and how much better it is, because after all, you never know who reads the comments and who will convert to guildcraftenism.

In conclusion, I thank everyone that has read this post and I want to give a pat on the back to anyone that has done on of the things above to increase guildcrafts player count. If any of you have suggestions I have not listed please make sure to leave them in the comments and I will definitely add them to the post.

I didn't read the post but I wanted to reply something so here it is.

 

I agree on most of this especially with regards on hiring youtubers. It may seem a bit late since youtubers with minecraft content isn't as much popular just like before, but that's a good thing because they'll probably end up accepting cheap offers now. Most of the minecraft players have school and are probably busy in life. We're hoping soon that this players will come back this summer because they're most probably free and isn't busy anymore. Server resets will help alot too in gaining gc's playerbase back. Have fun!

I don’t recommend advertising on other servers. It makes us look really lame to advertise that way.

The rest is ok, though you normally don’t pay for media work through commissions.

By paying them a commission you are giving them money, and the more money they get the hungrier they get which in turn means more profit for guildcraft.

I agree with you ideas , although gc needs more changement if you want to have 3000 players playing each day. As you might know , a lot of premium servers have also different gamemodes . By adding new and unique gamemodes , you can increase the player rate but also get more money for the server as you can add extra ranks , cosmetics etc...
Of course it's not only by adding new gamemodes that the problem will be resolved but if we help each other out we have more chances to make guildcraft a #1 top cracked server

GC needs to back to his "Golden Days" when u can see 1000/3000 players

I don't think most of you really know why the player base has been dropping.

The real problem. The TE Launcher's update system broke.

A service that was used to acquire a version file was made redundant by a 3rd party. This would not normal be an issue because the launcher had a fallback update protocol for this very issue. This protocol was tested and even used in the past, but somewhere down the line this system broke and it went unnoticed.

Why does this even matter? Most people who get into Minecraft via "unofficial" means came from TPB, through the TE Launcher. The most popular version of this launcher on TPB just happened to be a very early version with the broken update fallback system. Most new users will download the version with the most seed, which is the old version. As a result, when the launcher is turned on, it tries to update and fails, then tries the fallback and also fails. once the update system fails, the launcher then turns on. When the launcher is on the user tries to start the game and the launcher throws an error. This error states you need to update the launcher to play the selected version etc. This prevents the user from starting the game, unless they go into the settings and change the version manually, which new users don't.

Most new players from GC would have all started with the TE launcher. This pipe (new users) is now massively reduced. It takes time for a new torrent to gain traction. As the newer torrent with the fix becomes more popular, more new usesrs will find GC

Solution? Wait for TE to build up more users on the newer launcher and more people will find GC. This is not a GC issue, this effected every offline server.

 

I agree guildcraft needs 1000-3000 players back and not 300-500 how it is now!

 

I think youre actually right the thing is ive been meaning to tell a player or somebody that is when i come to eggwars it was very low and it was very sad to see players are not joining so i agree
