Hey there guys, as you might know I'm somewhat back to the forums (made 1 post a few days ago). Since I've posted my last thread I've received a massive amount of support from the players and staff members which I'm truly thankful for. Something was on my mind today so I've decided to discuss this topic publicly on the forums. I've noticed that a lot of players and staff members, shortly after leaving guildcraft, start talking really poorly about the server. Especially recently, I've noticed a lot of hate towards guildcraft from the ex-staff members and members that once "loved" guildcraft. Now, guildcraft has a bad reputation on a lot of servers, I haven't seen anyone recommend playing on guildcraft in the last 2 years, might be one of the reasons for the insane playercount drop. I believe the head staff should try and form a stronger bond with the every-day players and that communication with the higher staff should be easier to achieve. 95% of staff (admins and below) cannot get in contact with the owner easily, even some H-A have trouble getting in contact with aXed. Now I don't blame aXed for being unavailable most of the time since he's probably busy with IRL things, but there are still things that could be changed to please the community. Things such as: Bigger trust given to H-A H-A should be able to have more access to the server they're a H-A of, and be able to modify and change important factors (plugins, permissions...). Now this might be risky since players that become H-A mostly don't have experience with owning a server, but if there were more devs that were active they could assist the H-A with managing. Communication once a week It would be good if aXed would check out the most trending threads of the week and spend 30mins a week on replying/reading those posts, as well as constantly updating us with the latest changes within the server and some future plans for the server. This would make the community happier knowing that the high staff are interested in their suggestions and do care about the servers growth and development. Enforcing the rules/Making the game playable for all ages Since about a year ago I've noticed the increase of toxicity in chat that isn't punished, people are way more toxic in chat now and it isn't a good place for younger players to be in. Toxicity is the main reason people decide to quit the server, that's why I believe that toxicity should be punished way harsher (like it was in the old days) so that players can easily communicate with each other without being harassed/insulted. Updating the staff There is a lot of inactive staff members and members that aren't responsible with the power they have been given. It would be a good idea to remove those kind of staff members and give space to new and mature players that truly wish to help the server grow. More respect between staff members and regular members Keep in mind, staff members are volunteers that are there to support the server with their time. This shouldn't give them the right to act as if they're above regular members and to be harsh to new members. The same goes for old members insulting new staff members and making their experience worse. Most of these factors should improve the overall experience players have, and should hopefully improve the servers image. If the community is happy, the server will grow, people will recommend to others to join guildcraft and spend their time here. Together we can make this server a better place, Vojkea out.
I'm sorry Voj but all you've to do now is realize that Verang was right here. Didn't betray you or anything, had a lot of hope and potential in GC, but now honestly I've decided that there are better and more productive stuff to do. It will stay like this, to revive it you need basically to restart it from a whole new beggining, with a whole different system, as it's gone to here from a beggining. But everything is going downhill eventually by years, it's been 6 years since it's release. Moving on to more important stuff is what everyone is going to do eventually, that's the way life goes. The current staff are trying to do their best to maintain it's position, but ranking it higher than this is probably doing the impossible. Completely rational & aknowledged of what has happened throughout the time I've been playing here, it's just the plain truth. But still, I appreciate the fact that you're still trying to do your best for it. Good luck to whatever there's to come.
Don't know why Shadow/Tigerstrike are saying this I mean GC is almost by the end but that doesn't mean we/you have to give up if aXed wants that GC has a future he will take care and the first steps are in this thread so aXed if you read this thread its serious man now ore never
Yes, absolutely. One of the biggest issues right now is delegation. Head-Admins need more control over what they can do. They need to be able to coordinate and/or set-up resets (or at least help with them). It would genuinely surprise you guys how little control head-admins have over many factors. Head-Admins don't really get to work on resets for example (like, at all for the most part). Head-Admins can't fix bugs with plugins and whatnot because they can't get that kind of access. Furthermore, some Head-Admins in the past have never really gotten their in-game or console permissions, making matters worse. I believe that if more delegation occurred, the server would be doing so much better. Resets would be planned better, they would be timely, and generally less buggy. Bugs and issues that did exist would be able to get fixed easier, and Head-Admins could assist players in a much greater degree than they do currently. I heavily agree with the communication aspect you pointed out too. One of the reasons GC gets hate is because a lack of communication from aXed, I believe player's perspective of the server would drastically change if aXed interacted with the community. The times he has (like at the start of the Faction reset when he was listening to player feedback to improve it), I have felt immensely proud to be a part of the staff team here, it really felt great when aXed was communicating back. As for your other points, I agree with those too. Great thread, pinned.
The reason why head-admins dont have as much power is because of past experiences. Such as ItsAmeThyat was giving out the gc server files, Kris was doing a lot griefing and Ragdan was an impersonator. Another reason is because of experience from other servers. I don’t know if you guys know who AlterEgo is but on his server which has 400 players he gave the equivalent to head admin permission for console access. This back fired as the staff he trusted betrayed him. Anyways thats what i know.
Another thing that i'd like to point out is that builders often have a hard time getting theirs builds added, i know there aren't many builders who build for fun without being asked to build (like me) but it's something common that when we do this, even if the build is accepted, it takes ages for it to be added. For example, i created an Anni map called Villages that got accepted around 7-8 months ago and it hasn't been added yet. Same happened to rewardedcarton, who made a map and has been waiting for 2 years now to get it added.
aXed must trust head-admin and give them perms. Hired them as H-A's , why not give them what they deserve ? kek Server lacks updates and one of the main reasons why the server is having a major drop on its playerbase. #Melon4C0 or #Vojkea4Co If aXed replies , Go ban me m8 GoodLuck GuildCraft!
I think that a better solution is stop posting threads because i have seen all what you have posted and some of the threads u created recently is about the bad issues happening in guildcraft... Well even i cant disagree with what your are saying the guildcraft is kinda going down but for now i think a better way of helping guildcraft is to show support and also to help in making the community feel more alive and feel guildcraft still the way it use to be because spreading negativity to others will be like a domino effect until u reach the last domino then everything collapse..... But still what you said it right anyways lol
Only if H-A's would bring about events and stuff like every weekend or so.. if you've taken up a responsibility then they shuld live up to it.. not bitchin always saying "we also have a life" i mean if u have a life okay nice.. but if you've taken up the responsibility then spend your time on that aswell..

Tbh Melon should just Be like Promoting some good staffs some active staffs I wont say staffs are inactive cause they actually work so hard. Axed should respect the fact that staff works their Butts of Irrespective of anything in return and i respect that.Tbh i respect u too as a staff never hated any staff but can we just like stop argument in-between 2 servers. The staffs which are like leaving gc is on their free will not cause of any new server. -Peace
True Alterego made the server back in the day around the 200players when aXed got owner he boosted the server to 4k he did a great job but his job is not done yet so come on aXed pull your server to everything like you did before
