»no one saw my chat

What type of bug: when i enter a chat message sometimes others dont see it.
Server: survival
Arena (If possible):
Date and time: now
Visual information(If possible): (This is not unmute request) I have 2 screenshots there I got muted by cap for chat trolling because I said I asked something but he thought I did not ask anything. My chat was not visible to him, I had that issue before with vacuum. Also cap asked other players if they saw it and they said no. Cap asked an admin to check my logs and they didnt find my chat msg there.

I don't know if its a bug in survival, or the whole GC, or a bug from my chat
also I noticed I have this issue alot with long chat messages, not short ones.

https://imgur.com/a/gslZo here a screenshot made by Caprioara. You see thanow voted 5 times, Cap said "yes" then there was this Info message. But in my own screenshot my chat message is between "Yes" and the Info message. So there is the proof my chat was visible to me, but not to others.

Fix this bug please I don't want to get wrongly muted again (this was not Caprioara's fault!)

Some details:
- only in public chat
- the same question repeated keeps being invisible for others, but
I have same issue with other chat messages too.
- if admins check logs they will find it. (it will not be found in player logs only when admin checks)
- I experienced this bug in both survival and skyblock.
- I do NOT have this issue outside GC on other servers.
- other players have the same issue it's not just me.

- important note: if i type only "do, so" it doesn't appear in chat of other players. In that long message I sent to cap that he did not see was also this part "do, so" when I left that out, the message was visible for the first time. But this issue is not only with these 2 words, I had it with other questions that are not similar.
also when Diyon typed "use /seen <name>" no one saw it in public chat.

For more evidence maybe contact warcorp and caprioara they have screenshots or tell me if screenshots from me are required

No. First I said I have a question. that was visible to everyone. Then I asked, and only I saw my chat msg.

 

Is the bug still present , if it is i would suggest recording it if it happens again

 

There is nothing to record, only players telling me that I did not ask anything.

I had this problem too a couple of this. It is mostly because of the lag which causes a delay in server's response and your computer. I advice you to check your internet connection and/or restart the game if the problem occurs, since that is what worked best for me. Just like Caprioara said, your messages existed in the logs so maybe the others received your messages but you weren't able to see that. Happy to help !

You are wrong, Karamel. I have tried multiple times with the same sentence and even restarted game. This issue is always with some specific words it has nothing to do with lag or restarting.

 

I tested with @_lonelyWolf and he's right. The chat disappears. I tested typing the same message in chat and he didn't see. I know that he didn't saw because he sent me a screenshot of the chat. Please fix this.

 

The bug happens even with auctions! Look at my screenshot you see the chat has skipped a bid.

 

This is happening in skyblock too. It seems to be some kind of chat filter causing it.

Sometimes the messages make sense. If you try to type the word “shit” in a sentence in skyblock chat, your message won’t be sent and no one will see it. But other times there’s no sense to it, simple chat messages with no swearing just never appear.

 

If you say 'shit' do you get a message that it was removed from chat? And what about normal chat messages? I know that in survival there is no chat filter anymore but this bug happens.

I have repeated with the same chat message multiple times, and I can now confirm that it has something to do with specific words or letters in the chat message.

Once I asked something similar like "Raba why do hoppers cost 30k in skyblock?" Then I asked if anyone saw my question and everyone said no.

So it has something to do with specific words in a chat message. But it is not only one word/letter that causes this bug because I have had this issue with multiple different chat messages that are not similar at all.

Leroy if you want we can make more evidence with screenshots of our chats, I'm in survival.

 

If you say "shit" in skyblock, there's no message, it just doesn't appear. There are other messages that don't appear as well, but we haven't figured out what other words are causing it yet.

 

"shit" appears in survival chat.
There is no chat filter in survival anymore so this has nothing to do with chat filter or swearing.

 

Try typing /op into chat

I bet you there’s some kind of command/chat filter in place that hooks every message. We just don’t know what it is or how it works yet.

 

I don't think it has anything to do with commands or chat filter.

I was just testing once again and I noticed all of my chats were visible to others. So this bug seems to be fixed, requesting lock.
