»Amnesty?

So today I saw something about amnesty, idk why but GuildCraft was in my mind in that moment. I was thinking for a Server Ban Amnesty that will get all players that are currently banned, unbanned. Okey, I know you will disagree, but lets just give them another chance to join the server and have fun. But if they get caught braking ANY rules again, they will get to see "you have been permanent banned from this server" again (this one is for perma banned). And normal players that got light or medium ban, just get unbanned normaly, but the ban will figure on their bio. I do not know if someone else posted a post like that, but I did not see any post like that. Please dont judge me, It's just an idea, lemme know what you think please.

Nope. Suggested 100,000+ times, always ends the same. They tried it at one point and it was a nightmare. Double nope.

GC Would still have like 2 players if everyone got unbanned, Most people probably deleted the ip like ages ago.

The only people who are joining GC now are the kids who type "Cracked Minecraft Servers" on Google

Starting playing late 2015, didn't make a forum account until a month later (hence my January 2016 register date). And yes, they did attempt a mass unban. Do you remember when they got rid of global admin? You remember when ItsAmethyst came back? Remember when kriscapelle and xander were unbanned? This was their attempted ban reset, but it failed miserably with former staff still having their perms and old players being toxic as **** and right back to hacking. Hell, I was banned by a former staff member who still had perms when they came back. They only stayed unbanned for about 2 hours and they were perm-banned yet again. Kris still had his perms, and that royally fucked the rest of the factions reset. Mostly every player that was unbanned was banned again.

 

We're never going to do this again. Other staff have explained why, but if that's not enough search the forums for the numerous amount of threads that suggested the same idea and got rejected.
