»[Anni Staff] Bunch of Anni-related issues.

Alright, hey all, Necron here, I've noticed recently that anni is dying. One of the most important reasons of why this is such a huge deal is because staff are never online. (Most - yes MOST of them).

Just saying, yes, I'm aware that this means I can never pretty much apply on anni since I'm calling out more than half it's staff team and I'm also aware of the hate I'm going to receive a shit-ton of hate from fellow friends/staff of these people, sorry guys but it's the truth, some of the guys listed are even my friends.

As annoying and frustrating this may seem, it's an actual issue because people not only don't wanna play anni with all these hackers and lack of admins activity (Except some of course, read below for more info on who).

I don't blame them, even an admin himself told me he doesn't enjoy anni anymore and just comes on occasionally to ban hackers, this issue is cause @parle won't demote the inactive ones.

Let's get into the root of the issue now.

@llElDiabloll (even though I love this guy, I've never seen him on anni, even once in the past 2 weeks, neither did other people for more time)

@TheCatsKing (seen him a few times on, not that bad but he quit anni sadly)


My question is @parle, why do you not pay attention to your staff team? People quit anni because hackers are over-taking the server, make autoban more strict if it's needed, if it's a false ban I'm sure they'll make an appeal for it. Also, where are the updates? I've got banned 2 years ago and only thing I've seen introduced to anni is Clan tags and clan points that do nothing, whoever is in charge of developing anni updates has given up aswell, I'm sorry @Arjenpro but you focused on Skywars instead of Anni for way too long, wanna see how anni looks like now? At 8pm GMT-2? Which should be 1 of your rush hours on anni?

This is a disgrace to the old standards of anni, how could the responsible people have let this happen? This game was the heart of GC, people would know GC as the best anni server, wanna know where they are all now? Freaking Cosmic's shitty anni, reason? They care about their player's games and update them regularly. How could a game that had 8 lobbies and 5 of them were taken at once, ended up like this? This not around school hours, nor right after school. This is afternoon and people aren't here. I don't wanna blame it all on @parle as I'm aware that he is a head-admin on 3-4 other servers and anni can't be a priority. Thing is, nobody works/cares about anni anymore, voting has been broken for months now I'm told, same with succubus (6 months?) and a lot others.

What I suggest?

My suggestion is @parle give the h-a position of Anni to someone with experience with owning/running/managing a server and that is familiar with the plugin GC is using, as most of the issues aren't even from custom plugins, but just coming from the main anni core/plugin. If not this, then it'd be great if @parle could just focus on anni for a few weeks and try to fix these issues. I just want anni to come back to it's glorious, well deserved fame.

I agree with most of these points. Some staff could be more active but some are never on at all. Lets take @llElDiabloll for instance, Before i got unbanned he was hardly on from what i recall, I havent seen him since i have been unbanned, I know it hasnt been long but still... @got_boy used to be REALLY active before i got banned, and now... where has he gone? maybe hes been murdered? Who even is @SilentChad I have never seen him online and i dont think i ever will, I hadnt even heard of him until i got unbanned... I disagree with your point about @Hunterminecraft though, I'm pretty sure he lives in the US so hes not really on during EU times. There isnt usually admins online between noon - 7 PM BST. This really needs to change and if it doesnt anni will keep on dying.

Edit: I think parle is an excellent head admin but he needs to be more aware of how active his staff are

I'm also playing around 1-4am which is US rush hour and Hunter is on around that time (for me) and we talk whenever I stay up.

Honestly all of them should be focusing more on school then on banning and muting people in a block game.

Most of them come on their spare time, some of them have obviously kind of *quit* anni since they have better things to do.

 

I totally agree with that but what should happen is that they get more admins. That will mean there is always an admin on. Admins are entitled to be less active to do school etc.

 

If someone wants to focus on school they quit or take temporary demotion, staying as staff and never being on isn't helping anyone, totally a valid reason for someone to take a break/focus more on studies but never being on at all during a non exam season for most countries is really a shame.

1) Less staff members?

Am i supposed to create new staff members out of thin air?Am I considered as a wizard by you with magical powers to create staff members? Because if that is the case then we need to get help for you.
Sorry mate but I can not accept apps from people who are not eligible for staff rank just to have a "big" staff team.

2) Current staff team

I gave their activity levels a look. Except the ones who are on vacation due to life issues, all are active.
My staff have lives outside Guildcraft [School/work etc]. Staff team dedicates their time to help the server out as much as they can. And it is really disheartening for them to read incorrect posts like this.
What you expect of us is to just drop everything and be online on Guildcraft 24/7 for hackers? You crazy?
It may get frustrating but you have to bear it sometimes with the hacker issues and consider us as human beings with lives instead of robots built for nothing but banning someone.

3) parle
Since I am the head-admin of the anni, the privilege of demotions and promotions lies entirely upon me.
I am not going to demote someone just because they have to focus on their exams or xyz reason for a bit.
If that is how you think a head admin should do things with his staff team then i am sorry but you need to change that outlook completely.
Regarding what I do for "anni' as a server, already had a major rule/issue addressed and had an event done on anni. Also, I have a few more things planned which will be disclosed when it is time to do so.
The staff team is trying to revive anni but it won't happen overnight like you think it will @Cyprus .
Being Head-admin of 4 servers does not mean, i can not help with others servers. Currently, we are working on an event for another server which will be released soon. That does not mean, I do not care about anni.
We do care about anni!

"Demanding" isn't a term I used in my post, I simply pointed out that most of the staff are inactive ,no matter what the reason is, and exam season isn't even close to MOST of the countries, and you applied on your own will as someone already pointed out, if you didn't wanna be active for it then you simply don't apply, no offense talking in general not towards you only (even though it seems it does)

No where in the application process does it say that you have to free up your schedule for the whole period of time you are staff. There are inactivity posts for a reason.
