»[Comparison] Pingers vs Laggers (PotionPvP)

In the PvP battle, some people call laggers shit because they think laggers have so much advantage. Other people think that fighting pingers is unfair because they think pingers have advantage instead. So today, I will try (emphasis on the word try) to break down the advantages, disadvantages of the pingers and the laggers:

Laggers:

1. Advantages:

• They can sometime teleport in the pingers' screen because of their delayed connection to the server, hence comboes.
• Because when a lagger threw a pot, it took some time for the server to register, the pot would always be behind laggers, hence better pot conservation.
• The laggers have delayed kb (cuz of their ping ofc) while the pingers don't. And we know that whoever gets kb first, will be comboed, hence (again) some more dirty comboes against the pingers.

2. Disadvantages:

• It's harder for them to 1.7 (hitting from behind) someone because when the enemies run away, their bodies seems to be closer to the laggers then they actually are because it took a while for the server to send the info to their screen.
• They could get comboed more easily because when the enemy combos them, he/she seems to be further to them than he/she actually is because (once again) the delayed connection.
• It will be harder for them to shoot a bow and actually has its shot landed on someone because of the latency, arrow coming out later.
• Laggers are more suspectible to quickdropping because their pots coming out later than non-laggers/pingers so they will die before their pots can heal them

Pingers:

1. Advantages:

• It's easier to 1.7 people with this ping because of their good connection and how close they are to the server, so pingers can quickdrop people easier because of this.
• They take less kb since their kb's aren't stacked unlike laggers' so they can counter enemies' comboes against them.
• Because their hits are registered before the laggers' cuz of their good ping, they can get out of the trade hits quicker and combo people easier (as people say they are good at keeping up the pressure)
• Since their pots came out early when they threw one, it opens up more possibility for them to 'forward potting' - basically means they can heal themselves while comboing people, meaning extra chance to quickdrop their enemies later on.

2. Disadvantages:

• They will get comboed earlier because of their connection, laggers could use this advantage to w-tap/a-tap/d-tap the pinger.
• Their pots come so early, it is briefly 'flying out' of their body before healing them. This could cause worse pot conservation, as the pot could fly to somewhere else.
• Pingers' movement are smooth and continous (unless their internet sucks) unlike the laggers', who teleport most of the time if their ping is 200+. This makes it easier for people to combo them.

Counting all of this, we see that pingers have more advantages and fewer disadvantages than laggers. Even though laggers may teleport around and makes it hard for other people to hit, being a pinger means you will have better connection (obviously) and will have distinct other advantages over them.

To anyone who doesn't know the difference...

Laggers: The people who have a bad PC and very low FPS or have set their video settings very high resulting the low FPS/Lag to happen.

Pingers: The people who a bad internet connection or have something downloading in the background which isn't good for playing any Multiplayer games, because it gives you a very bad ping.

 

Nah in PracticePvP, people call other players who have a bad ping (like me) a lagger and other players who have a good ping (like jaguar_92 xd) a pinger.

Also, I think ppl who have a bad ping constantly teleport around in other players' POV, that's why they are called laggers lol

The thing is you cannot straff a lagger.

 

Pinger means u have really good ping, like 150 ms and lower

The player base of gc is usually from asia and middle east so mainly most players have 200+ ping and thats why evry1 on gc thinks 150 ping is good where as if u go on a prem server and have 150 ping people will shit on you.

Wrong
-Lag: there can be 2 scenarios over here.
1- you genuinly have shit PC specs.
2- sometimes even if you have a beast setup you will still lag thats mainly because of "server lag".
You cant say "laggers" because laggers are the kids who have shit internet
connections. Not the one who have less fps. When you have less fps its just you yourself who is lagging on your screen, on others screens you will be perfectly smooth.
-Pingers:
The kids with relatively low ping i.e anywhere from 5-50ish

 

150 is fine, i have like 120-150 and i dont lag or have issues

 

But u cant call a guy with 150 ping as a pinger

 

People call me a pinger all the time just a mattter of opinion. People have different opinions about what ping is good

 

There cant be opinions about facts :|

And as i said earlier out of lets say a 1000 players 700 will be from asia or middle east or lets just say that they will be far away from the host. so if out of 1000 700 will have 200+ ping then people will surely call you a pinger.

 

Ditteamalies right people have different opinion on GC then other servers , I have played badlion for an hour and I was given hate for getting bad ping

This post was made to disprove everyone who really thinks being laggy is better 'Oh if you have less ping, you wouldn't get any of those hits!' (said the y mineman player when he lost against the lagger or got comboed once by the lagger)
