»Can People Change?

Lately I have had this debate with myself. Whether people can or cannot change.

About two years ago I was banned for hacking (My 7th time which was perm). 2 years later I bought an unban and all I can say is that a lot has changed.

I have gotten a job and matured so seen in-game. But the game itself hasn't changed for me and yet I have no urge to hack or anything. Just an urge to give and just rebuild my reputation here.

So, can people change?

 

In my opinion, yes, people can change greatly. Two 1/2 years ago I was an imature 14 year old on the staff team on SemiVanilla, and 1 false ban & a leaked ip later I was demoted (rightfully so).

Now I'm a hard working 17 year old with a job, a girlfriend of 4 years (@WilyWaldo insists that's a wife ), and a very self-governing set of morales.

So yes, I do believe people can change!

 

Yes, they can, but not always in a positive way. This doesn't affect to everyone. Some people are always going to be the same.

 

Just like @iverstaylot00, when players start off on gc some tend to leave and some prefer to stay but with them comes a Immature stubborn rude behavior which im sure most staff and loyal players like me have had before when starting here in GC. As time passes by and they grow through the years of generations they begin to realize and notice how rude newbies can be so without warning players start to become more mature and make better decisions in life. that's the way GuildCraft generations have been working. hopefully you understand

 

People can change, and in some aspects, change is good. You can change from bad to good, and switch your life around or vice versa.

 

Everyone can change. Either for the better or worse. It all depends on who you are inside

 

As others have said and will probably continue to say, people can change but sometimes its not for the good. Although its hard to believe people have changed, because of previous experiences with them or simply your mentality. Some fight themselves to not see than a former enemy has changed, but eventually they accept the fact that a person has changed their course of their life. If i wouldn't of changed, believe me, i wouldn't be here as an admin for a second round.

tldr; Yes its possible to change for either good or bad.

 

Yes people can change, I think they have to do a ban reset and give everybody a new chance and make the server less boring

 

Obviously it takes time to change because you only did after hacking 7 times hahahaha

 

If you want to change for the good,you NEED a good influence

 

@iverstaylot00 definite wife and I would say it takes strength to admit wrong it takes determination, hope, confidence with strength to admit you changed for the better. Good on you

bro i have been there many many times. I know the feelz my dude. Killing somebody while using a hack is amazing. The feeling you get when you say "ez" after you hacked somebody to death is just amazing.

But: think about your money. Hackers have to get lucky all the time. An admin only needs to be lucky once. Sooner or later a hacker will be cought. You have to pay 20 euros to come back, it's just a waste of money.
