I actually like the idea but i saw so many comments discussing whether a mod should ban or not In my opinion they should be able to ban people. Although yes, someone can actually abuse the perms but i think i have to touch on another topic, Mod Training. Before anyone gets Mod, let alone the application that's really important because motivation is something you definately need, i think they should be tested in action first. For example if a beaner gets Mod rank because he really does want to help the server and stuff and goes on to Helper and P-Admin lets say on Prison. If he enjoys playing Practise as well it won't be difficult for him to get Mod etc there. But as I said, if he's a beaner and suddenly gets destroyed in a duel or two he will use that /ban 100% I did get a bit off topic , i KNOW but the thing is there are some servers that need staff that can ban, and the only Staff that can do that is an Admin but SIKE, there's not enough of them to cover the needs of the server. There's been numerous times of me spectating a friend of mine while he gets chased around by a hacker and a Mod is spectating the fight too, but can't do anything. Back to the topic good idea fam xD No h8 for ma ramble pls i fna
Banning without /v is very hard. You can't ban someone if you don't look at him and spectate him for some time. You can... for killaura only. But there is a bunch of other bannable offences that you can't detect without actualy watching someone. I think we should let a head admin give his oppinion abut this
I though that helper comes before mod too . The word "helper" looks like you have to help new players and you have no perms at all. The majority of new players think that helper comes first, as I though! Nice idea. Edit;or it'd be good if they add another rank that is a bit higher then actual helper and give it some higher perms like temp ban or whatever. I agree with the term that ONLY admins can ban and sometimes there's no admin online....
a mod cant be able to ban sadly, then the mod wouldnt be alowed to play factions. furthermore i support this idea, i was confused at first 2. helper can do more then mod because helper can see the /helpop chat -W
I like your idea of Mod Training but take into consideration of differnent timezones and availability to attend the training. Only way possible is to make training videos and quiz them over it after kind of like a college online class.
Pebro i think u got him wrong, he is saying that the prefix [HELPER] should be before [MOD]..no change in anything else except the prefix
The only 2 responds that were worth reading. It's sad that guildcraft has seen the day where suggestions like these get the most attention, just because they have a click bait title. And of course, the saddest part about it is that it was actually posted by an admin lmfao. First of all, after reading this "original" idea and I've started thinking, how long it took him to think of such a great idea? probably 10 years of hard work. Ok, I guess that's enough, let's be serious now, posts like these are literally useless, there's a ton of great suggestions on the forums that aren't being noticed just because they haven't been posted by "known" staff members/members. This isn't an original idea, nor It's somewhat useful to the server itself. I believe the current order of the ranks is quite fine. Now, let's get to the important thing and actually explain why this suggestion wouldn't have a single impact on the server/people that are playing on guildcraft: 1. This wont help anyone understand the staff ranks more, the order isn't strange at all, putting an argument that "helper=helps the server and that that's why Helper should be above Mod" is one of the saddest things I've seen. 2.The current order has been here for a long time, people that play guildcraft regularly (players that are active on the forums and have 30+ posts = People that can apply for staff, already understand how the rank system works). 3.Helper isn't even that much above Mod, helpers only have a few bonus permissions like /nonick, /noprefix that are used rarely. 4.People can apply for Admin when they get moderator, they don't have to be promoted to helper first. In conclusion, this post is mostly a post to get some attention/positive ratings from people who are friends with him, it's really obvious he's currently aiming for H-A. If you're someone who actually has some original ideas, post them, but be warned, most of them will be ignored. And, even tho I quit minecraft/guildcraft, I still enjoy sometimes visiting the forums and explaining the truth about certain posts. -Vojkea out.
