Okay so, you get your protection IV diamond gear, you get your sharp IV, you get your potions, you get your god apples, etc... your ready to farm! as you were going to the enemies base, you randomly get disconnected from the annihilation game you were just in, you try to get back in to find out you lost your stuff that you spent around 45 minutes obtaining... just because for some reason your network stopped working for a minute, which is insanely unfair to just lose all of your hard work because of a simple disconnection. And that's why i'm asking GuildCraft to bring back the NPCs that used to appear after you lose connection, if i'm not wrong, the NPCs were removed because of void-logging. What is a "player NPC"? For those of you that don't know, in old Annihilation, there used to be a "Player NPC" that appears if you lose connection/disconnect from the game, it only has 30 seconds before it despawns, if it is killed before 30 seconds pass, the stuff you had will be dropped where the NPC spawned, but if it doesn't get killed, you will be teleported to your base with your stuff that you've had before you lost connection/disconnected. This feature was added so that if you lost connection/disconnected, you don't lose your stuff unfairly, but it was removed because of void-logging. What is void-logging? Void-logging is when you logout while falling to the void, which other players do not expect(most of the time), resulting in bringing you back to your base safe from other players, which was the reason for staff members to remove the NPCs from annihilation. How can the problem of void-logging be solved? I have 3 possible solutions for this problem: GuildCraft can make it so that if there are no blocks under you(not including air because it counts as a block), your NPC does not appear. GuildCraft can select an area which only inside of it will appear NPCs when disconnected, so the non-selected area will not have NPCs in it. Or GuildCraft can make it so that you log back where your NPC was left when disconnected. If you have an even better solution for this, please let me know, I will make sure I add it to the "possible solutions" list, and please let me know your thoughts about this topic, I wanna know if it is just me who wants NPCs back.
I agree +1 this problem should be stopped please any head-admin or developer In charge take care of this With all do respect Simple way to stop the void logging Make the Npc's Die when there in combat log @aXed @AsyFrost @Tibo442 @Arjenpro
i agree it is fair and nice it pisses me off cause just because we dc for a minute our hardwork gets ruiner 100% agreed +1
1- Check the blocks 50 blocks under the player, if all of them are Air, the npc won't spawn. (Void = infinite air) 2- Add gravity to those npcs. 3- Adding kitpvp's / factions's Anti-combat log plugin.
about number 1, I kind of suggested that, read the "possible suggestions" again. But for number 2, do you know that these NPCs have like half a heart of health? what if you disconnected while using scout's grapple while getting on top of a tree or something? what if you were using assassin's ability and in mid-air you disconnected? and for number 3, what does that have to do with this whole topic? xD
About #2, nvm #3, If the anti-combatlog gets added, players that had been pvping some secs ago would die instantly after disconnecting, so there will be no need to add npcs.
can you explain a bit more about #3? I'm not really a factions/kitpvp player, so I'm not getting what you're saying here.
How did you get Mod o_o So when you're using scout/assassin to rush/to go to tall trees. When you right click it again, you'll be sent up in the air right? Check the npc's height. When in scout it's like. 20-30 blocks. When in assassin mid-air, check he height of the npc. It's like 40-50 blocks high??
I just wanna say I disagree that NPCs get gravity, because they have like 0.01 health(a fishing rod can kill them), unless they give the NPC the health that the guy who got disconnected had, and they also take inconsideration scouts 50% fall damage reduction, assassins ability, acrobats no fall damage, etc...
Nice suggestion but I'd swear that I have seen NPCs around, they didn't get removed as long as I know, last time I played annihilation was 4-5 days ago and it was still there, a guy had logged out in the void and I tried to hit him with my fishing rod
