When being staff, these kinds of comments about Jack from the player base bothered me way too much (Screenshot from GC discord)

 

There are so many issues with how the staff team is being run in survival.

Inactivity of the Head-Admin is the most crucial one as he almost never knows what is going on in the server. He has staff that is inactive and constantly in /v for no reason. When problems arise they cannot even reach him. These issues have been around since I was staff and i'm 100% sure nothing changed.

Rash or poor decision making has become more prominent as he has expedited a number of promotions leading to survival having untrained and unprofessional Admins. Instead of him taking up more responsibilities he resorted to relying on inexperienced staff. None of the current admins in my opinion has a proper grasp of doing the job.

Unprofessionalism by the Head-Admin is the last and final straw. Whenever issues arise he in whatever way avoids being responsible by making excuses or refusing to listen to the complaints and dealing with them through unbiased decision making. He also bends too many rules for his own pleasure and responds rashly to players who point things out.

@Jacky20 you are a good guy but either you start taking responsibilities, step down or get a Co-Head.

@aXed Sorry for the tag but while Jack has been here for a long while there needs to be some changes to how the staff team is run. I am tired with having issues and bothering you with them every time is not something I want to continue.

You've read through what I have to say, and you have seen the feedback from the community thusfar. No doubt more responses will come as people wake up tomorrow.

Reaper and I are both ex-admins on Survival. I resigned because of Jacks incompetence (look at example 2, that was my resignation). I won't speak for Reaper and say he did the same thing, but I personally assume he resigned for the same reason.

We know exactly what the pain points are in the whole system and our feedback should really be relied upon.

I know you/Elise have spoken to Jack regarding various issues on multiple occasions. The time has come to have the best interests of the survival subserver in mind, and do the right thing. Change needs to happen and new blood brought in.

I dont hate jacky, but his methods for being an H-A are very very sketchy it confused me so much.... It all became clear when he accepted Germanode lmaooo the guy recently got a mute for Racism literally a few days ago but he got accepted anyways.

 

Would like to make a small correction. My racist mute was October, I got accepted January. Tho I did get a Caps mute on December 23rd, a bit before getting promoted. By you. lol

While we are at it, I'd like to know why does it take more than a month, in some cases even two months for Jack to even start reading apps? While staff nags him constantly about the need for new mods.
This put a lot of pressure on me when I was a player-admin because I was literally the only active staff at the end of the last reset, before Waspman's promotion and when Storm and Dea were on a holiday. We desperately pushed for new mods. Only to hear from jack: "I will deny all applications and make them reapply because I want to promote people after reset" And again, Elise had to step in to tell Jack that we needed new mods

Sorry that rank was removed due to the problems it caused. It was rushed and put in place and really if a heads inactive enough to have a co-head they should not be head.

 

So an update on the situation, and a further grievance.

There is a perfectly good thread (THIS ONE) where Jack could have responded in a civil manner with his points, and with an explanation for the behaviors I have highlighted in my initial response. We could then have had a civil discussion where he counters my points and I gain a better understanding of his.

I am so very angry right now. Instead, showing his usual tact for defusing situations and dealing with criticism, was to post in an off-topic survival channel with his usual defensive drivel, and patronised multiple members of the community.

It is so very clear that this man will not change and has taken 0 feedback onboard.



So to summarise his first message, it's up to us to break things down and spoonfeed information to him, because he doesn't feel the need to speak to his own staff, affected members, or approach members privately who tag him on Discord to discuss issues that arise. No, it's the player-bases fault somehow. This is completely illogical.

PS, it's our fault things are the way they are, because staff members, hired to deal with shit that happens on the server, deal with shit that happens on the server. Again, totally illogical.

I am completely done with trying to get some change with Jack. Excuse after excuse. Change is the only way things progress. I can see a lot has been done positively through the dedication put in by both aXed and Elise but I have not seen it in a while by Jack. If nothing changes from this point I might as well stop trying to have some positive improvements. Growth from criticism goes a long way. No one is perfect but Jack seems unable to take this and promise positive changes.

 

as requested, imma put my not so important opinion here.

"If a staff team is falling short, it reflects to the HA as well. HA then must step up the game and don't leave them astray to play with the guidelines and have their own set of rules. Train them better, stable HA stable team."

 

Jacky relies on the staff to do his job for him, he claims to be doing stuff IRL and he tells staff the he is going to be inactive for god knows how long, but the staff could atleast tell the community that jacky will be inactive, but that falls back on him to remind them to do so.

 

Well, you guys didn't get my opinion yet HAA as if it matters but okay:

Jacky might be a nice guy and for that, he prob has a lot of friends and no girlfriends. BUT BUT BUT he is not a good suit to stay as a head-admin. As I agree with the points that Fox has stated.

A Head-Admin should be a beacon of positivity and someone who staff would look up to and not look down to. The Head-Admin should know better what's going on in his server. What's making players demotivated to play and try to fix those issues. Deal with lazy staff members and promote only those who deserve it.

I only can think the reasons why Jacky is like that: 1- Lazy af cuz no motivation (no $$$ axed plz share McDonalds money with ur staff cmon). 2- Lazy II (Yeah this guy is lazy af). 3- Lazy III jk. but maybe he is stressed cuz people expect too much from him?

In the end, we can only predict but never gonna get it %100 right.

Tho, I would like to mention something nice he has done for me. I was on survival one day and a random donator gave me all of his kit items. So I had a lot of items on the ground. So I said "Jackkkkyyyyyy help tp" so *surprisingly* he tped and like placed down a bunch of chests so I could store those items

A further update, from the staff chats. I'll post what I have then break things down.



The staff members have completely disregarded any of the points raised and are diminishing our argument to "hate against jack". This just goes to show that Jack has failed to address any of the discipline issues within his own staff team, failed to educate them on how to deal with the situations that have arisen lately, and that the staff members don't see a problem with their own behaviour.

@mikee31 and your sibling. Unfortunately, you were right. The admin, as you can see above, does not care and did not mean their apology. They think it's just us finding loopholes and using it as an excuse to "create drama". Jacky has not spoken to him about what happened even now, showing that Jack has not learned anything from what we have raised.



Given that Germanode still has access to private staff documents and is making changes to them, as mentioned previously, and Jack has no regard for infosec, this is just hypocritical. He cares more about his own image than actually taking onboard any feedback raised or dealing with the infosec issue I pointed out. Frankly it's disgusting.



According to the screenshot above, the admins think that all of these points are just "false shit". It shows how dimly they view the concerns of the community. It shows how Jacky fails to train them properly. It shows that we need change.

 

I need to justify myself about the spreading false rumors about us admins especially on my side as an admin i never did something without asking Elise Or Jack anything done ban mute anything against the rules i check the guidelines and if necessary i ask the higher staff members and if i did anything wrong i always try to fix it . A few times i fucked up with things i know (and i fixed them) but every beginner regarding being a staff member makes mistakes .
