»[Prison] Sumo Event

Prison will be hosting a sumo event on Saturday, November 2nd at 12PM GMT with a top prize of 15 euros buycraft!

The details are as follows:
Players would go head to head in our custom sumo arena to fight for the sumo champion amongst the prisoners in a randomised bracket. All the fights are 1v1's with 3 winners. All rounds leading up the finals will be a best of 3 between the two contestants. The two finalists will go head to head in a best of 5 with the losers of the semi finals battling it out for the third place prize!
Where will it take place?
The event will take place on /server prison at /warp sumo
When is it happening?
The first game will start at 12pm GMT on Saturday, 2nd November
What are the kits?
If you choose to participate you will be equipped with a knockback II stick and permanent speed 1
What are the prize?
1st place prize will be 15 euros buycraft and 5 billion in-game money
2nd place will be rewarded with a 10 euro buycraft coupon plus 2.5 billion in-game money
3rd place will recieve 5 euros for buycraft and 1 billion in-game money

If you would like to participate simply reply to this thread or dm PGMR#2808 on on discord with your IGN and a place will be reserved for you. In the case the event does fill up and you make the first 32 players then you will be added to a waiting list to fight in case someone doesn't turn up. (It is first come first serve)

well the idea originally came from mmc as i just wanted to create a fun mini game but people kept saying make sumo events until we got to here. People who play prison were enjoying it a lot so we thought why not make it a bit more competitive? At first i said not to make it a proper event but lots of people wanted it lol

 

A lot of people wanting it doesn't mean it's the right thing to do *communism*
And we both know who is gonna win, a cheeky misplace user whose name starts with T . just make a prison-related event. a fun one. if you need ideas and preparations I will get you everything. just don't copy shit from servers just cuz it's "fun". we can have both fun and prison-related event

@Martin1 fam I don't know if you noticed but you just agreed on a forum post hating on Prison staff members and calling them unprofessional, so you either can't read or it's alright to bash on staff trying to do something for the server as a Head-Admin?

 

Again it wasn't supposed to be an event at first we created it as a joke in free world first. The only reason its an event now is because people wanted it. If you don't like it then simply don't participate

Anyways, things don't work like that. "If you don't like it then don't participate". You don't like to be criticized. We all know this gonna damage the community more than it benefits it just because everyone thinks it's fun doesn't mean it's right.

All you have said is that it was copying something else and that somebody cheats? Its not like its going to be the only prison event. We are still working towards making more prison related events like the ones drew hosted. Also if people want it then if its possible you supply. There is no point in making an event people won't find fun or interesting. And i said if you don't like it don't participate because you are acting as if it we shouldn't have done the event. If you gave ideas as criticism or something helpful i would gladly take it but you haven't given any of that so far.

 

I gave you an opportunity to ask.

You could make an event that is based on points. No.1 gets 10 no.2 gets 7 and no.3 gets 5

and has three rounds in all aspects of prison.

Round 1: Mine in a special event mine (maybe full of iron blocks or anything you want) give everyone haste II and same pickaxe. whoever brings the most amount of blocks will get 10 points and so on. 2nd place is the next and so on...

Round 2: Get as many levels as possible mining. (Same thing, make a special mine but this time is full of ores) whoever brings the most will get 10 points. 2nd place is the next and so on... Clear their XP first (Anubis can do it through a command).

Round 3: PVP : Give everyone the same gear and make 1v1s. Whoever wins gets 10 Points.


^ Here i covered all aspects of competition on Prison. Mining, Levels, and PVP. It's fully Prison-related and it's fair for both good pvpers and bad pvpers. No life miners and casual guildcrafters. It's fun? hell yeah and hella exciting.

PS. whatever event you gonna make; make it properly and as professionally as possible. not to end up KitPvP's event lol

 

That's a pretty nice idea will definitely try make that happen! Also we are trying to make it professional lol. We won't be using normal splash pots but instead using world guard so everyone auto gets the effects
