    Hello everyone,
    After a long wait, i'm happy to announce that Annihilation 2.0 is ready to get released.

    and its happening...
    Tomorrow.


    20/4/18 7pm CEST


    We have a lot to tell you, so let's start.

    Kit Upgrades

    We already told you about this feature on the last teaser, but i'll show you how this works now.
    Every kit has at least 3 upgrades, some of them have up to 5 while civilian has 7. Upgrades will be purchasable from the Kits Shop in the game lobbies. To view and buy an upgrade, you must unlock the kit and if applicable the previous upgrade.

    Upgrades add new abilities or new effects to your kit. We won't reveal them as we want them to be a surprise, but, expect Marks of Despair, Volatile Corpses, and, why not Backstabs.
    I'm looking forward to see what new uses you find to these upgrades, i'm pretty sure you'll find new estrategies, oh, and midwars are back!

    Overall Balance

    This is something we've been looking for for a long time. Balance. It's hard to accomplish, because balancing a kit normally breaks another. All unused kits have been buffed while overused / op community faves are nerfed. Kit prices have also been tweaked a little for most kits.

    Farter, Flyer and Slime have also been removed; they were too similar to Acrobat or Scout, and they didn't really have a reason to be in the game. If we find good ways to rework them, we might bring them back.

    New Kits

    Yes, new kits will be released on Anni2.0. This new additions are Chaos Lord, Chef, Dryad, Ion, Mage and Viper. Thanks to @rewardedcarton and @ShadowGunGR for recording all these kits, you can check their post below for more information.
    Thor has been heavily reworked too; it's lightning strike is now a delayed but lethal lightning bolt!

    Achievements

    Achievements list can be opened with /ach. There are a lot of achievements for you to finish, also, we've added hidden achievements - noone knows anything about these, good luck unlocking them. Some of them have very unique rewards which act like abilities!

    Achievements are one of the new ways to get xp, along with Objectives and the new Starter XP Booster i will mention later.

    Emerald Shop

    We thought emeralds were... useless.
    This new shop will let you exchange emeralds for stuff like potions, Nexus Repairs, and much more. This is a most of the things you'll be able to buy in it:

    Abilities


    We thought the current abilities needed an upgrade too, so we've added a lot more. Most of these upgrades came from community suggestions. Yes i'm looking at you Crafter.

    Three of these upgrades will let you gain more xp. Also, we've added a way to buy Temporary Personal Boosters for AnniXP.
    We've also added Prestiges. These expensive ranks show up as a roman numeral prefix; there are 7 to buy which costs about 1.25M XP in total!

    Bosses
    You probably saw the teaser, but for those of you who didn't:

    We made them harder to kill, added special abilities and made players unable to trap them (they jump and teleport out). Bosses now have pretty serious anger management issues: they'll taunt players and attack everyone who passes by.

    To make up for the difficulty hike, every player near the boss when it dies will get the loot and xp, while the person who lands the final blow gets twice the loot.

    Starter XP Boosters

    We've added this to starting as Civilian feels a little bit more fair. All new players get a personal x2 booster for one week when they start; this means you'll be able to get even more XP, which will allow you to reach Archer / Warrior, and some of their upgrades. This XP Boosters are also applied existing anni players and stack additivley with donator boosters.




    XP, Kit and Stats Reset

    And, yes. This is something hard to announce, but fair. After adding so much stuff we thought that Annihilation needed a fresh start. It's also about time; anni has never reset since 2015 unlike other rare-reset game-modes like kitpvp, skywars and prison. This means we'll be reseting it on the next update. However, XP Gaining has been increased by a lot, and that means that all players, from new to old will be able to climb the ladder once again. All players have now a chance to overcome. To make it easier for you, Civilian upgrades will be a nice way to earn extra xp, and we've added more xp-gaining systems.
    Another thing, your ranks will NOT get reseted.


    Match Objectives

    All matches will have atleast 4 objectives you'll be able to finish for tons of XP. Objectives are given once you join a team, and can be viewed with /obj. Depending on luck, they'll be hard to finish or easy, but XP will vary in these cases.

    Some Objectives include ending an specific team nexus, killing players, conquering middle, rushing, etc.
    All Objectives will reward you with XP.

    Mini Anni

    We'll release Mini-anni, which will be playable on Anni-4. MiniAnni will feature smaller maps, faster games, and chaos!
    It's also a great way to get more XP.
    Fortress, by @Denzby. One of the smallest bases you'll see. This is one of the 5 Mini-Anni maps we'll release for now.

    New Maps

    To make maps more random, we are adding all maps to Anni-1, 2 and 3. There is a total of 25 maps on the main lobbies and 5 maps on minianni. This means we will no longer have old-school map lobbies, but that should end the problem of playing always the same map (Coastal & Canyon).

      Okay, this is going to be a (very) long post. Read through this and you'll be a bit wiser (probably)

      First things first, Hearty and Extremely well-intended Thank you to @TheCatsKing and @Jonodonozym for all your hard work. It takes grit and natural interest to work so hard on a cracked server played by a couple hundred not-so-well-mannered players (exceptions exist). You guys have poured your hearts and souls into this no doubt. The end result will be fabulous I am sure.

      I hate to be this guy, but I have several critical points to address regarding this 2.0 gameplay. Please note I myself am very hyped for the release and even prematurely bought x5 to support the server (and for my selfish self for getting more XP)

      Please go through all of the below with an open mind , I hope everyone reading this gets my viewpoint -

      => Chaos Lord, Dryad, Viper, Ion and Thor, possibly Wizard too - all these kits have a single aspect that would negatively impact the gameplay in the days to come. I don't intend to be haughty, but mark my words, people will soon despise all the kits with enough time.

      =>The reason I can say with such surety is that all these kits are spammable. Now if 1 player spams this, then it would be at best annoying like Cat 1.0. If 2 or more players take any of these kits, then the gameplay becomes more like a who inflicts more status effects and not of PVP in any sense. An example is given below -

      Opponent - P1 Iron with ShII presumably. 2 players take , say Thor/CL/Viper/Ion and Dryad. They find the Iron dude alone. In a typical scenario, the Iron player would easily overpower the 2 leathers, except may if they are Cats and land the scratch. But in 2.0, that Iron Guy will most definitely die against 2 simple leathers. The Dryad Guy would place his spec which has a HUMONGOUS radius of 10 friggin blocks that cause WEAKNESS II AND SLOWNESS I FFS. Just TAKE A MOMENT TO IMAGINE THE ABSOLUTE MADNESS THIS KIT IS. Weakness II reduces damage done by 4 hearts. You can do damage above 0 ONLY WITH IRON SWORD AND ABOVE!!!!! Stone sword and wood/gold are friggin useless against Weakness II. And add Slowness by 15% to your woes. If the Other guy has Chaos Lord, then OMFG you will be stuck with Weakness II and Slowness until you die. Now, if the other guy has Viper, you will be getting poisoned slowly to death while being Slow and VERY weak. And if he is Thor, well GG. Just imagine, a single Iron Sh2 P1 guy, getting rekt by a unskilled leather Dryad who places the spec MILES away and a CL/Viper/ Thor spamming his spec on you resulting in your slow and painful death. Noskill FTW.

      =>If there are 2 CL, and hit the same enemy, that enemy will get Slowness II and Weakness in the 2nd/3rd hit they both land probably. And thats it. CL will evade and hit, while the victim has Weakness II and Slowness. And they can still land even more W-II and S-I status anytime in 4 hits. I think not many can imagine the power of Inflicting weakness II and Slowness.

      =>I think 1 fatal flaw in all these kits is that, instead of focusing on utility, all these kits focus on inflicting 1 status or the other. I mean, the creativity is just dead in most of these kits. Sorry for being harsh but thats how it will be in 2.0 soon. Acros can double jump + no fall damage. Scouts can grapple. Scorps hook. Swappers, well obvious. TP teleports teams. But the new kits like Thor, Viper, CL , Dryad, and the notorious Cat all simply cast negative status on the enemies. (Pyro is exempted cause its Fire does not do much damage, I believe).

      =>Ion is appreciable to a large extent, its more like SB's immobilizer (neither players can hit each other in the end) but it too suffers from the flaw of 2+ players spamming it. I mean, 3 ions target a Dia guy. 3 of them start hitting him. If 1 of them is low, then they "Ion" him. They get ready, and start it again, 2nd guy does it. Then the 3rd. Probably by simply being evasive, the 1st guy can again "Ion" him soon I guess. That would drive any guy Insane, simply able to do nothing for 6 seconds while getting pwned from all sides upon coming back, and the steps repeat again. I think, providing Invincibility to the victim for 2 seconds after coming back would slightly make it balanced.

      =>Dryad will be the most dreaded kit I believe. Atleast CL has to come close, hit player maximum 4 times to inflict the status. This Dryad has to right click once and you are locked in his web, 10 blocks long web.To hit him, you need to approach atleast 3 blocks near him, all the while being Slow and VERY weak for 7 blocks if he instantly sees you and traps you. Mean time he could either choose to rekt your @ss if he wants. And run away without slowness easily. A possible, but probably terrible counter would be make everyone (even teammates and the player himself) get S1 at best. W1 could be given for like 5 seconds if it is not too much of an issue (after testing) But Weakness II has to go. Nuh uh...NO way will it be balanced with W2.

      =>Thor, OMG just Spam the Hammer every 30 secs by 2 players and you did 8 true damage and much more if the player is Not Thor-Pyro. 3 Thors and RIP any leather. If you survive somehow, then 30 secs later instant death to any Iron or possibly Dia. Not cool bruh. Definitely too OP. This will also cause a lot of Hatred soon enough.

      =>Viper, I dont know the full damamge of poison, but it will be annoying when 2 vipers (similar to Cats) just chose to poison an enemy 1 after the other. Spammable.

      => Wizard, I don't know the extent of damage of Fireballs, but if it is 2 or more, then 15 secs cooldown is easily spammable, even more so with 2 or more wizards.

      => Chef is cool BRUH. Chef FTW!!!

      Put together a leather Dryad, Ion, a Viper , Thor and a CL, these guys together can rekt 2 P2 Dias easily, with no chance to the Dias (unless they are same kit as one of the above, atleast they can evade 1 ailment, if they are Acro/Scout/Scorp/Vamp then DED AF) I believe by simply spamming their specs, GC Anni will be a game of who spams the most.

      Now lighthearted joke aside, see, all these kits suffer from that one flaw of not being unique and just causing Status ailments which extend by more and more players spamming it. Cat was bad because of that and now there are several kits like it, and some (looking at Dryads and Thors) are simply WAY TOO Overpowered. My mind is blown as to how to deal with these kits if 2 players decide to target someone.

      I cannot, but think how bad the gameplay will be soon enough. Running amok and PVP'ing with a couple of status ailments the entire friggin game.

      I don't want Anni 2.0 to die a slow and weakness II death (*wink**wink*) I sincerely hope many players and the Devs themselves realize the Hell they are going to unleash soon. I have cited the problems, and with Time and Thought maybe I could suggest some balances apart from the above which I can think at the moment. Please do all players share your collective inputs and suggestions to improve the 2.0 experience, which , apart from the kits, will be a HUGE YUGE success.

      I will not end on a bad note. Now I will praise all the good features :D (Yes even more long)

      =>Reset of XP and Status, welcomed by me, and by some. All ya farmers, GG. All ya rushers. GG. All ya noobs who have 0.01 KDR, GG. And OFC, all hackers, GG

      => The Upgrade system is very much appreciated, it simply sparks more interest in the kits, and happiness does not stop simply upon purchasing it :D. But I think we need to be shown what upgrades we get instead of being left in the dark.


      => The abilities system is the cream of the cake for me though. Possessing latent abilities is a feature which I love and hope the abilities are worth the Hype.


      Now, I guess this is too long so I will stop for now. Congratulations, to the admins/Devs for successful start of 2.0 and to the players for a whole new (and hopefully non-hellish) experience.

      Although I'm banned, the update is decent. Not the best but not the worst.
      I won't see much players using chef or dryad.
      Kits look unique indeed, but it wasnt needed to add all 6 as i feel like these 2 (chef and dryad) wont be used too much and will end up getting removed in the following update, just like farter, flyer and slime were.
      However, mage, viper, chaos lord and ion will have a good amount of usage as I saw from the review, and I like them honestly, also the new updated Thor is pretty nice.
      In rest, it's alright, cant really say hype cause I am banned, but yeah, decent addons. Good work guys.

      You just make assumptions based on what you 'think' abilities are. For instance you can avoid thors lightning if you are running. The other kits have been tested extensively and we concluded that its all well balanced. Should one kit become overpowered then we can easily nerf it anyways. @ShadowBlaze25

      Zwaan my point in the very long post is, as 1 v 1 its fairly manageable, but in 2 v 1 / 3v1 situations, it will become hell. I definitely have assumed a lot and will delete the post if I am proven utterly false upon actually playing. I am also hyped and want Anni 2.0 to be a success.

      That was the issue with Cat too. 2 Cats can easily kill a Enchanted Iron. And that shouldn't be the norm for several more kits.

      Nice im. so hyped but @Jonodonozym @aXed @TheCatsKing i bought over idk maybe 10 boosters amd never knew and it was never mentioned before that mini games reset is it allowed that i can have them back on this reset ? Because i payed and never knew was gonna reset as i said nothing was mentionned
      -P.S not asking for a chargeback just asking what will happen with my boosters
