»My last minue suggestions for Anni 2.0

    Hello all,

    I have been a member of GC Anni from Feb 2015. I have been fortunate and unfortunate in witnessing both the rise of Anni in late 2015 to the fall of Anni a few months back. Right now the Anni server is witnessing tremendous downfall with no signs of picking up until atleast 2.0 arrives. I have been reading all of the suggestions given by members and would like to add a few of my one. I am sure this is very late to be added before release, but let me atleast try giving out a few pointers of my own.

    1. Reset the STATS. Nuff said, with 2.0, it should be like a new fresh beginning, with no undue advantage of stats to old players. (easy to implement I believe)

    2.Making all maps available in the random 3 maps for ALL lobbies, I am sick of playing Coastal in Lobby 1. ( Easy to implement, I believe)

    3. Since Farming is going to be discouraged and Rushing will be encouraged, I would suggest you to add a few kits that promote defending like Swapper and Defender. Also, as suggested by @sepehr_davoodi , kindly add a feature of Defender to TP to nexus instantly (with a cooldown of say 60 seconds?)

    4. FIX THE COMPASS!!!!!!!! ( URGENT :p) I am a complete noob in location identification :D

    5. I think @TheRealDoctor suggested this, but let me repeat, please bring back Mid Wars. It was one of the best areas for PVPing and was the go to place in Phase II end. Now all I see are a few irons mining their own corner of the diamonds and no one else at mid. Auto TP to mid will encourage mid wars and would be a test on the team to focus on both resource as well as defence. Also reduce the number of diamonds at mid to probably 6-7 to discourage over population of dia geared peeps. (Easy to implement too)

    6. I think every kit will benefit from a Soulbound Stone sword as it really makes a difference in leather PVP (except Scout, maybe?)

    7. Delay the spawning of Mid Iron and Gold blocks. Might be a bit controversial, but this one , coupled with the availability of pots by Phase II ensures overtly powered people like Wolfie_Strafes ( I personally love that guy) to mini farm anyone by Phase II itself. I think maybe make it spawn during Phase II end would ensure that people start coming to Mid by phase II and would encourage mid wars. (Easy to implement )

    8. Make new maps with alternative routes to Nexuses. Maps like Coastal, Canyon, Outback are VERY hard to rush in late game. The best maps for rushing would be possible if we could have multiple routes to nexuses without a chokepoint until the very last stairs to the nexus. Also kindly make the nexus area bigger to make 360 degree mining. SO MANY NOOBS BLOCK THE NEXUS BLOCK WITH THEIR WOOD PICK and make it hard for others to mine it. (Easy too, honestly believing) Also kindly reduce the pathway to nexus from Spawn. Maps like CoastalV4 and Essixdam have very long path to nexus from spawn and is very bad for non special kits unlike Scout/Cat/Acro.

    9. When I started out in Anni, I was very fortunate to meet a good hearted person who demonstrated all the abilities of all the kits to me patiently and really brought the excitement to play Anni everyday. Since Kits are going to be a bit cheaper and more plentiful, I believe demonstration of Kit strategies would attract a lot of players and keep them on the hooks to buy them. My suggestion is to appoint or give a Tag to respected players who are willing to teach the abilities of each kit occassionally to those who want to learn it. Also a weekly or Fortnight event of All Kits for 1 day would let them experience the thrill of each kit. I am personally of the opinion that because of the interest I developed for the Acro Kit was the reason I played Anni everyday in the beginning.

    10. I think maps like Saharia, Essixdam, EyronPlains, BrawlVallyey and such have very huge travelling area and are not accessible by simple walking/running. Would it be possible to either remove such areas by placement of walk paths or making the future maps a bit smaller? ( Will take time to be implemented)

    11. Boss - Ah, another controversial area. Iron Golems are dumb AF honestly. A civilian with a wood sword could whack the boss for a few minutes and get the glorious GreatSword or GreatKnockers if left uninterrupted. I don't know how, but would it be possible to make the Golems do area damage or do stat afflicts on the people to ensure team killing of bosses? Also someone suggested adding a Ghast at mid, kindly make it unkillable so that people at mid would always be on their toes and would ensure that even the strongest of teams have to be carfeful :D

    12. Making last two slots of ender chest cheaper. Team mates are good, team spirit is essential, but you know that Randie Civil who follows you everywhere and doesn't allow you to /k . Even with 5 slots I find it hard to keep all my gear intact while changing kits. Also would it possible to bring back Nether portal for kit change?

    13. Encouraging Sky wars. Apart from Mid wars, another common thing back in old anni was Sky wars. By placing a few blocks of water ponds outside the bases, non acrobat/assasins can safely jump into them and over run the base. Also, would it be possible to restrict air building to the edge of the base walls as those Water block spammers ruin the enemy base as well as my FPS :)p)

    14. Cross team colored clothing kit. I just love the idea of dyeing my leather armor to match with my enemies and mingle with them and kill them at the right moment. Like Spy in TF2. Just like our GC Spy, the name of the person should vanish and the name tag above them would be a random player of the enemy team. If added, would be the best feature for me :D

    15. Weekly rewards for people with Most rushes/ kills/ support etc. Kinda hard to implement, but a suggestion is still a suggestion right?

    16. Make Tools/ Equipment Breakable again!!!! (except maybe gpics :p :p)

    17. Enchantments - (not enchanter) Most of the Enchantments are pretty useless, I mean come on, Smite, BoA, Respiration and all are useless, hope it would be removed.I think changing the random enchantments each time I place the tool would benefit a large if I dont like any of the enchantments. I don't want to waste 3 levels on a shovel to ensure that I get Fire I on my sword.

    These are a few suggestions I could think off within 15-20 minutes. Would edit if I get any further good suggsetions in the comments or by myself in the future.

    All of your suggestions are amazing I agree with all of them except one of them:

    you saying that they should make items breakable again but back in the days when I wanted to farm I always had an anvil and lots of iron to fix my gear and it was truly a pain in the neck.

    and I have one more suggestion about the defensive kits such as swapper and scorpion. I remember before last Annihilation update which ruined everything farming was more challenging because we could void swap/scorp farmers. I did hate void swaps myself but I really loved scorping farmers near void and kill them so please remove this feature which we cant scorp when we are near void.

    Ok lemme give you feedback for each of your points.

    1. Do you mean just stats or the kits as well?

    2. Yes this is a good idea, consecutive rounds of coastal drive me crazy

    3.It's not that there's not enough defensive kits (swappers, scorpio and defenders) but it's just too boring to defend. The tp idea will solve this at least so that the defender can go out and PvP

    4. The compass will definitely be fixed , don't worry. ( or you could use /d)

    5.A tp to mid.... Rip transporter kit on most maps. Also, this will make mining dia really difficult unless they make op gear and pots

    6. It'll make PvP a bit more fun :D

    7. Call it a supply drop at mid :p it's a good idea

    8. Ok we'll need a balance between easy-ness to defend and easy-ness to attack
    A good example is kingdom 1 and 2
    Also, 360 degree mining is too op. Just have TWO nexuses

    9. Appointed anni teachers? Hmm..

    10. They are massive and maze-like but it's kinda the point. Although I do agree that it's not beginner friendly

    11. Making the bosses harder is a good idea but first they must make sure the rewards actually work. Bosses not giving loot, bow not giving speed if you unequip it..
    Also pls give better loot if the bosses are harder :D

    12. Yes I would really appreciate if the portals are back but they cause many glitches

    Ok i like this, i'll try to reply them; lets see how many of them are already added - i trust my psyquic powers.

    1. We haven't yet decided on this one, we're thinking on it and i personally see this as a possible way to increase playercount by bringing people from other servers. (Stats & Kits & XP reset)

    2. Already thought on this; Anni-1, Anni-2 and Anni-3 will have all maps, from new to old (3 on a random rotation though). Anni-4 will be a special lobby for Mini-anni. Minianni will have atleast 4 maps on the start.

    3. I don't wanna give many details on this one, but: While testing 2.0, i noticed Defender is addicting now; i tried it once and can't stop using it - yes, this means we added something to Defender, not a nexus tp though as we consider that's frustating and overall bad for the game.
    There are also new kits which can be used for defending.

    4. [Fixed] Compass now displays a message "This item is disabled!"

    5. As an old player i loved Midwars, it was the best part of the game and i still go to the middle trying to find someone to pvp with... but i'm always alone (sad). Anyways, we think we fixed Midwars on 2.0, and if everything goes Ok we'll have epic 4-team-fights at mid again!
    One of these changes is adding Archievements that require conquering mid (mining diamonds), and nerfing Phase II farms, and strenght.

    6. I don't think this would be Ok. We often give stone swords to kits that are meant for pvp, but i don't think all kits should have it. Having an Stone sword from the start really makes a difference.

    7. Not neccesary as we already nerfed Phase II farm alot; we'll keep those blocks for Early miners, and Early rushers who dare to waste time and try to get them. Wasting 5 minutes on mid to get them isn't always worth it.

    8. We still haven't changed / set up maps, i don't think we can do this in the short time left until 2.0 releases, but we can keep it for later updates; i think secret ways into the nexus are neccessary, even more with the new Defender...

    9. Well about the Kit Overload events, we don't want to make more of them for now, but that will eventually happen. About your kit teachers idea, i honestly don't think its neccesary to have ranks and such only for showing kits :p I thought we should make descriptions on the kits better, but these Lore-like descs are like soulbound to Anni lol.

    10. Maps are meant to be like that. There are maps that are nice for rushing, and other maps that are nice for mining; some of them are balanced, and some others are just crazy, it depends on who made it. They sometimes show how crazy the person is - and i made Brawlvalley. Also, i think those maps aren't really the hardest ones, its pretty easy to reach an enemy base on Brawl / Essix.

    11. Yes, i was the one who suggested the Ghast thing (does that mean i suggested it to myself? probably) and i'm planning on fixing this Boss issue by reworking them later. If Jono agrees, we can rework bosses on 2.1. The Ghast suggestion was removing normal bosses, and making a Ghast appear on the middle that flies around shooting people. You would be able to reflect fireballs or shot arrows to kill it and gain rewards for your team.

    12. I'm thinking on getting netherportals back, yes.

    13. I would like to hear suggestions on how to encourage this, but yea i would like to do it. On the old times i was one of the first Sky-tower-tpers.

    17. We don't want to touch Enchantments for now as farming and enchanting as a whole will receive major changes.

    Try to rush those maps when rewardedcarton is defending, you will see how easy it is with only 1 entry point :D

    1. It seems many people are not okay with reset as they have "Worked hard" in getting them. Just wanted to lay it out.

    2. Mini anni would have special maps right? or just 2 teams on a 4 team map?

    3. HYPE for Defender, I honestly love defending when my team can be offensive without me, GG bois I bought defender before it was cool...

    4. Its okay, a player suggested using /d as a temporary quick fix to know da wae...

    5. Make mid wars and scorpios gr8 again... I remember how powerful Scorpios were in mid, just randomly spam your hook every 3 seconds (yes, it was 3 at that time) and magically an Armored confused guy would be next to you :D

    6. Stone sword is the difference between victory and defeat in leather armor, ALL the new kits have them, I honestly wanted Stone sword for Acrobat alone...Oh well, I could mine like 30 cobble and 4 wood and keep it in ender for stone swords if needed ;-;

    7. Sad thing is only scouts come to mid the fastest, so its only a race between who is faster, I would suggest to delay the spawning atleast till end of Phase I so that those who join a bit later can also fight for it. Very few can actually join before Game begins and it is often a scout who gets them and probably hogs it and does not share with the team. Just my 2 cents.

    8. Yes, maps will take time, I am not saying Brawl is a bad map to rush, just that it has a lot of unwanted locations just meant to be and a lot of inaccessible locations without acro/scout. Another point which I believe all will agree, bring CoastalV2 over CoastalV3/4 any given day.

    9. Haha, this teacher point was a personal suggestion nothing else, I was hooked to Anni because of witnessing all the kits at that time, Descriptions needs to be reworked , lets wait and see...

    11. Control your wishes to 1 ghast, don't spawn spam 100's of ghasts and crash my PC...:p

    13. Making lumberjack free for all or a 5k kit would encourage getting wood and making skytowers. Those were the times when you placed towers 128 blocs high, get assassin, and travel to their nexus tower and do a leap of faith :D

    14. Wouldn't want to copy from TF2 eh...Abooserrr...Atleast provide easy dyeing materials in Base Chest maybe?

    15. This will encourage being active on the Server, you can provide like 200 xp per week to the winners of Most nexus damage, most Kills, most defenses etc.

    16. Unbreakable is another controversial topic recently, all are used to their never breaking Iron P3/P4 armor..This needs community wide support to be implemented....

    17. Enchanting was troublesome, is troublesome and will be troublesome it seems, :p

    Another bonus suggestion - BRING MORE RIDE "STAFF" BOTS IN THE LOBBY!!!!!!!

    Indeed, the point of defending is that it counters leather-gpick rushes. If too many people are defending, take that as an advantage as they won't be gathering stuff, and get op yourself.

    TheCatsKing I know that there is some delay in Anni 2.0 release due to irl situations, but what is a reasonable date on which we can expect 2.0 release?

    It depends on many things, i can't really say an exact date, but expect it to be on early / mid April.
