I do all of this but still get just under 30fps xD, it's my 4 year old notebook laptop that's doing it.

no no no. 16 gigs of ram is WAYY TOO MUCH for minecraft, even if you have a 32 gig beast of a laptop. 2 gig is max, you only need 1 gig to run smoothly.

also mods dont lag me at all, 5zig is really helpful and plus optifine is a mod aswell.

You do not have 64bit java and/or using a 32bit computer.
Check you computer properties to see if you have a 32bit Computer or a 64bit computer.
If you have a 64 bit computer download this:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u65-b17/jre-8u65-windows-x64.exe

If you have a 32bit computer then your minecraft ram will not allow more than 2gb.
Therefore if you have a 32bit computer then use this code: -Xmx2G -Xms2G

Thank you for your intentions of helping those playing at low framerates. It is in my opinion one of the biggest causes of people turning to the usage of hacks. I cannot personally play at anything under 60fps as I begin to wither away and thus reduce my lifespan.

Despite your good intentions, this thread is stupid. I am sorry.

To increase Frames Per Second in any game, simply buy a gaming pc or build one yourself. You might even get away with just adding a gpu in your system but I would recommend to research and find if that is possible in your situation. If you cannot afford a new pc then get a job. If you cannot get a job then beg. If you cannot beg then you will have to live life with low fps, tough. Many of you I presume receive some pocket money and if you are determined on stopping your addictions to whatever you spend it on then you might want to consider saving up for a decent pc.

Finaly. Do not be retarded and buy a £100 rank and be stuck playing at 12fps. I cannot figure out why people do that. Wait a little while and get something to play Minecraft smoothly on. Please.

    Thank you.

    From optifine.net:
"OptiFine is a Minecraft optimization mod.
It allows Minecraft to run faster and look better with full support for HD textures and many configuration options."
    Use it. It's awesome.
