»Toxicity and Ignorance

Dear Jojo and GreekGod,

I've read both your posts and only understood half of Greek's due to his amazing grammar. I know I'm not involved but I'm just making this post because both of you are targetting my boy short1der for no good reason and this attitude is clearly coming from the toxicity in factions.

Ok, so, Jojo your post says this, "U cannot simply tell people not to be toxic since this phenomenon is a biological and psychological reaction". Well shit, if I'm a sociopath, the society has no right to lock me up if I murder someone right?

You're also getting the whole point of punishing people wrong as you said "Greater punishment would be an awful idea, and no study has ever proven that punishing people (players) has ever had an effect". People aren't being punished so that they suddenly get reformed. It's for keeping them away from the rest of the community which doesn't appreciate their toxicity. The player is at fault as he/she (lol e-girls don't exist though) is disturbing the peace of the community by being toxic. The player being toxic is the only one who's getting satisfaction while the rest of the server is getting annoyed by the bullshit.

As you said, punishing people would only result in more toxicity. This could only be solved by issuing bans as short1der has suggested until the player gets the fact that they can't ruin someone else's day just because their day has been bad through their thick skull. (In my opinion, really toxic people should be perm banned as having to spend money to get unbanned would help them understand why they should respect the ambience of the server. Basically just telling them that they either obey the rules or stay banned)

The fact that you think letting this toxicity continue will be better for the server makes me want to laugh.

Springer US." in almost every fuckin paragraph of your post, I'd like to point out that this is true, but there's a reason punishments are issued in every part of your life for doing something wrong. Just because something is in your nature, it doesn't mean that the society allows you to keep doing things that adversely affect them.
Letting toxic people stay toxic would only cause more people to follow their footsteps and the others who don't to get annoyed or even furious.

GreekGod, to be honest, everything but the last paragraph seemed like gibberish to me. So, I'll just focus on the last paragraph where you're directly addressing short1der. Reading this line "u think if u dont mute them for beeing toxic people gonna leave? NO NO why is saico and cosmic big servers?" made me positive that you've never played on faction servers like cosmicpvp and archon. I've played on both cosmic and archon for a year or two. I can safely say that people do leave because of the toxicity. The whole reason these servers are able to maintain their massive player count is due to the youtubers who make videos on these servers. As old players leave, new players are always there to fill up the gap.
As I said, I've played on cosmic and archon for a year or two. I have the highest rank, executioner on void planet on cosmic where I had gotten all the ranks from the first to the last with in game money and had a low rank on archon as I didn't like spending much money.
I had quit both the servers for a year or so and when I came back, I couldn't find a single person who used to play with me. When I contacted these people on skype, I found out that most of them had quit due to toxicity of the community, players just ddosing and doxing each other just because they got raided or lost a god set. The server took no action against people being toxic but it didn't matter to them anyway. New players kept filling in gaps and providing them money as the old ones left.

Also, Jojo, I'm disappointed that you're using your popularity to make people follow you like blind sheep and agree with everything you say. I bet most of them didn't even read your post.

tl;dr Don't compare gc to other servers as we don't have any youtubers here and it's also a cracked server. Toxic players ruin the community and the goal of punishing them is to keep the rest of the community happy and not expecting the player to be reformed all of a sudden. Getting rid of the toxic players or forcing them to obey the rules is the only way to fix the server as it has become too toxic already.

Short1der is a good guy and he's just trying to help the server. He was a part of the same community before he became an admin and it still didn't make him turn to toxicity. He realizes that it's a problem, probably due to his own experiences and atleast he's making an attempt to actually do something. The reason I became admin on factions was to reduce the toxicity, but I got sucked in and became toxic myself on the way and I feel guilty that I have failed. Just give short1der a chance. Not everyone likes change but the same change may be all you need to make the server more enjoyable.

second u're talking about ddosing and doxing people, ofc that's bannable but i am talking only about casual provoking on factions not more than that u maybe missunderstood me sadly.
and third the post was about to stop short1der trying to tell melon for new,more and greater punishments it would destroy gc more than toxicity does am i right?
oh and last i personally never said @ShyGuy224 is a bad guy, actual the oposite i think he deserves to get the fully admin rank since he's not a toxic staff and he's doing his work fine.

Meow we are talking about factions not the whole server and in factions roasting happens besides that if someone swears or leaks personal info they get punished if anyone makes racist jokes they get punished. This is what short1der said "If these hour long provoking sessions continue in factions public chat, all involved will be muted for 6 hours for provoking. I have already warned all of you players involved in factions public chat. This is you final warning. I'm not saying provoking isn't okay on factions, but when it results in an hour long provoking session, it is clearly out of hand and needs to be dealt with." Now this isnt some survival type of thing where we shouldnt have faction vs faction fights in public chat and short1der is introducing a new rule here that he would mute people for being competitive which is wrong. The people who dont enjoy these fights can use /ignore. Factions has always been like this and if someone cant take some roasting they should just ignore the people simple as that. Plus you couldve directly replied to jojos post there was no need of a new one.

 

Tl;dr stop shitposting long stuff that lots of people cant fekin read ffs. At least leave some kindof synopsis above or below...

Ffs this is in every server except factions. I never saw anyone being muted for calling a faction bad.

 

This applies to every server, hence why it doesn't say "except Factions". If it was not intended for Factions it would say something similar to:

It was intended for every server. This, for the most part, is ignored however, because a lot of Factions is provoking. If you would actually go back and read what I have said, you would realize that we just put up with toxicity because there will be some natural toxicity in factions.

 

Well i have never in my 2 and half years of playing gc factions seen anyone get muted for provoking on factions
