Dear Redstone God, I am submitting my application to be your redstone apprentice. Thanks for the consideration, itinerant professor
Hey Iver.... I Copied the gen in my base....but then I realized that you can upgrade it to be even better and cheaper The Design I use has the advantages of -Less Redstone - No Repeaters -No Sticky Pistons -Smaller Area Required -Editable Layers -Upgradable -Less Lava -Cheaper ( 10-20k ) Also the design I use uses 2 ticks faster and still works and not to mention the features I mentioned above concact me and ill tell u everything about it
I have more efficient designs too XD This one is stackable though, which means it can be built on top of itself an infinite number of times and still work
thats what I said my design ( no its not in my base ) only requires the following 4 Observers Per Layer - No Sticky Piston -Less Repeaters -Takes 4 Block less space ( in height) -,Easier to upgrade
I just think 2 trillion is just a number you used to make it look fast You still have to mine the ores they are not instamined, I estimate 500 times less blocks per hour if you mine with haste 2 A better way to describe it is it insta regen blocks when done mining.
I mention in the video that this generates much faster than one player can mine, but there is plenty of room for multiple players to mine at. The 2.315 Trillion Blocks/Hour is the generation speed given the server is running at 20 ticks per second
2.3 trillion blocks in an hour? So you're saying you mine the blocks, then keep going that's probs 1 or 2 inventories. If you meant just generating, it doesn't count because you have to mine it and it doesn't make sense. "generating" means nothing really.
Which is my point He basicallu just saw it generate a full mine in a second and multiplied it by 60 then 60 to get an imaginary op number, while it just insta regen a mine.
XD If you want more to process, just hop into skyblock and /is warp iver Actually, there's much more math behind this. The mine itself is consisted of 44 generators tiled to each other (which is also tilable vertically) Each generator creates 11 (sometimes it creates more, cant figure out why) block(s) every time the ore generation plugin checks for water/lava interaction, which in turn updates the observer & piston. Normally, the observer would be limited to 20 ticks per second (standard Minecraft server speed), but that is changed by the following information. This is where crap gets complicated. Spoiler: Explanation Ore is genrated in one of the generators. The observer detects update, fires piston. All that is standard minecraft. But then, the ore generation plugin checks for water/lava interaction immediately after the block update from the piston (I know this due to the fact this is not a Guildcraft unique plugin, and I was able to find & download it). It detects the two liquid sources, then generates ore. The observer detects update, and fires the piston. Rinse & repeat (Since these piston are firing faster than minecraft-ly possible, that is the reason why the row of ore disappears while it generates ores on some pc's) Anyways, back to the number at hand. A server running at 20tps has an internal response time of .1ms at its optimal rate. So theoretically, each of these generators would be firing 10000 times a second, or 36 million times an hour. I did some quick tests and found that the generator creates about 14-15 blocks for each plugin interaction. 36,000,000 generation cycles per hour, with each generator creating roughly 14.6 blocks each cycle is about 525,600,000 blocks an hour 44 generators × 525.6 million blocks/hr = 23,126,400,000 blocks per hour. Rough rounding brings this to 23.15 billion blocks an hour. Due to the nature of this design, it can be tiled vertically, with each segment taking up two blocks in vertical height. For easy numbers, tile this 100 times vertically. 23.15 billion blocks an hour × 100 tiled designs = 2.315 trillion blocks an hour. I smell a ton of ridicule coming, so I am going to mention a few things. These numbers are dependant upon a perfect world scenario. Multiple limiting factors bring this design down, including: This only works on GC's Skyblock due to plugin-specific interactions This design causes an immense amount of server lag when it generates from an empty mine. So much in fact, it impacts my particles from cosmetics The random nature of the ore generators (which I do not understand) can impact this Lets face it, GC does not run at 20tps. We all know this No hate pls, I love gc, just saying its not 20tps As I mentioned before, and will mention again, this is the generation speed of the mine. Nobody can mine that quickly.
This design no longer works in Skyblock due to 1.12 reset. Just forewarning everyone, since I've gotten a few complaints already. Working on designing an ore gen that is compatible with the new generator plugin Requesting a lock on this thread
