Hello community, Once again, I've decided to create a post here, on the "off topic" section, even tho it's pretty much "on-topic". In my recent posts, I was talking about things that could be changed which could reduce the amount of players who quit, and today I'll talk about how we could encourage new players to stay and feel welcomed on guildcraft. Before I start talking about this topic, I'd like to mention, in this post I will talk about what members and staff members could change to make new members feel welcomed. Let's talk about the members first, what could they change to reduce to amount of players who quit. Answer to this is to remove the usage of the word randy, or to not insult anyone based on how long they play guildcraft. For example, a new player joins, he starts actively reporting players, responds to popular topics and makes useful posts, suddenly, people jump on him and say "haha we are going to have another randy mod" or something like that. Then the player feels demotivated and feels like his posts have no value and he decides to quit. I agree that it's not cool to try and get staff as soon as you join guildcraft, but if they're trying to help out the server, there's no reason to call them out for their work. In conclusion: Members should stop using the word "randy" as an insult to new members, it's not funny to them, and it may cause some of them to leave, and there goes 1 player, gone... Now, if we as a community become more welcoming then hopefully we will have more new members joining and staying at guildcraft. From my personal experience I know for a fact, that many staff members/members resigned/left guildcraft because of its toxic community. Now, let's talk about what @aXed/@Rabascm could change to make new members feel welcomed. First off, they should somehow encourage players to create a post in the "Introduction & Farewell" section. + On my IIIrd part of "suggestions to improve guildcraft" I've suggested that new members receive "welcoming mail" which should inform them what they should do before they start participating in the community discussions. Here's how the suggestion looked like: The Idea: When a player joins the forums, he recieves a mail, which is consisted of (example mail): Hello /PlayerName/, Welcome to the guildcraft forums. Before you decide to start participating in our community discussions, we suggest you read our rules: Forum Rules: https://www.guildcraft.org/threads/forum-rules.27/ Server Rules: https://www.guildcraft.org/threads/server-rules.25/ We wish you a pleasant stay at our server, The Guildcraft Community. I know that a lot of new people have some sort of fear to create their first post for some reason, I have friends that are too shy to post something on the forums and they think they'll be insulted if they do. Everyone should be encouraged to join the forums, that's why imo "hostile" responds should be punishable (Responds that are hateful even tho there was no rule broken, but it wasn't friendly nor connected to the topic, yet only created to make the creator of the post feel bad). That's all I had to say about this problem, hopefully high staff members check this out and take this post seriously. I've typed this post in a hurry so I'm sorry if it isn't as good as my previous posts. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated, Vojkea out. #Vojkea4Co
This XenForo website was never here 4 years back... pretty sure Enjin never had this so.... idk what ur on about
Ha, tell that to PizaCraft and HenryRocksMC who has nothing else to say except brag that they've been here for 69 years.
I mean when new players join the server in chat it will say "welcom newplayer" to guildcraft. And i mail there will be a list of basic rule list. Atleast this is the way in factions before i dont know about other servers
Shut up you asian transexual individual. This must be the first server to remove the word randy, if it happens lol.
Oh did I say "best memes" 69 year old gc player? I just posted memes, why are you so butthurt lmao Keep em coming. The more you speak like that the more I imagine you look like a fat american kid whining about minecraft. x]
I'm actually a norwegian ''kid''. And im not the one whining about minecraft, you're the asian transexual moron who's obsessed with us lol. You actually have so little friends, and so much time on your hands, that you use most of your time making memes on a minecraft server's forum. Thats how socially akward you are. You're even stating this yourself.
At least I know what I am More "asian transexual moron" lines lmao. Now your starting to sound like a fat Norwegiam kid screaming at the monitor. Hilarious
Says the guy who has so little social life that he resorts instead to bask in the "glory" for being an OG player in a block game. You are making this fun for me lmao
I bet there's more fat people (per citizen) in whatever poor asian country you live in than in norway, and i bet you're using fat because you're fat yourself, well i can tell you I'm not fat, thats something you gain after staring in a screen for several hours per day and the only thing you are achieving is a bunch of retarded minecraft memes that looks like they were made by an autistic, socially akward, minecraft addicted retard, which they are. Your comeback is not even good, its the same thing that you used when you involved me and piza, and its not even correct, find where either of us are bragging about how long we've been on gc?
