Hey, any solutions for this? i haven't played GC for months? i guess and i have a stable internet but im still lagging, when i play at other servers well...im not lagging. yeah..! help me k?
Where are you from? I believe GC is now being hosted from US so unless you live near there your ping is gonna be always above 120, make sure to check your router (reboot it, might help) or you could always tell the rest of your family to turn off their wifi so you can get a better internet connection
im from the philippines, i rebooted my router many times but still laggy EDIT: but if gc is now being hosted from US how come when im playing at hypixel im not lagging but here at gc its laggy
I have a similar problem, I used to get 89-115ms, but for some reason now im getting 160-200ms. almost as if it changed into a US server somehow
It's because it did. And @Furios hypixel has both a US and EU datacenter they host on, I assume @aXed hosts on a single US one, he probably realized most of the PB is Americans or something no idea.
That doesnt make sense as I have a friend who lives in the same city I do, and he still gets 100ms. Might be my internet, but I doubt that as I still get 100ms on another EU server
How does it not make sense, that's how it works... Further you are from the datacenter the more ping you have lol.
no lmao, I used to get lower ping than the guy I mentioned and we havent moved from where we live. We dont live far away from each other btw.
I'm telling you how the technology works, having 100 ping as you say is the NORMAL one, it also comes down to the ISP you use, the speed you got and how many people use the internet at once, all those can add up to your latency (ping).
it is not hosting from us it is hosting near europe i think (correct me if i am wrong), maybe check other devices connected to your net you can disconnect them if you don't need/use them OR get a better net OR close everything besides minecraft and if you are listening to music close it ~That should help a bit i guess Yousif
The amount of people using the internet isnt very high. Its one of the 4 EU servers on my server list. I get 160ms on GC and on another server that I will not mention. Whilst on the other 2 EU servers im currently getting 79, and 105.he amount of people using the internet isnt very high. When I join a VC in GC's discord, I still get about 95ms.
GuildCraft isn't hosted in EUROPE as I said, it's hosted in USA, that explains why your ping is much higher here.
Guildcraft isn't hosted in USA, it's hosted in EU. Stop acting like you know everything. The server's lagging that's all.
Hey! 1st of all: As far as I know, this server is hosted in The Netherlands I live in Portugal and get a stable 50ms, which is 2 079,0 Km away... If possible try using Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi as this will reduce your ping drastically! If its not possible, try a Wi-Fi Repeater (Buy or Improvise there are plenty of tutorials for that). Hope I helped somehow, lol.
Here are the steps I took to fix this server lag issue for myself 1. Open Windows command prompt (cmd.exe) as an admin 2. Execute the command "netsh winsock reset catalog" 3. Execute the command "netsh int ip reset reset.log" 4. Reboot PC. 5. Try and play on GC again. It won't fix high ping, but it will probably fix lag that ping doesn't explain (constant rubber banding, connection dropping for a second etc)
Do an internet speed test and take a picture. No, it's not being hosted in the U.S or my ping would sky rocket.
Its not hosted in the US. Its hosted in the Netherlands, France (I think France) I know someone who's from france and gets 7ms, though he doesnt play. If they did change the host, they would've announced this since its a huge change. Ill try to fix my internet though if it really is the issue x)
