The thing is:
GC can but there is limit for hopers
And i think for redstone things
So better ask Wily he is good with redstone...

 

oh i made like a 30 second clock that powers like a stack of pistons that allow about 30 lava and water blocks to create ores but it doesnt lag but when i make a small 2 second redstone clock it crashes my game,so the rule is you have to overdo it because if you dont you crash
