»The "Zerania" problem

Hello everyone especially @aXed

Since almost a month people are advertising the server called
zerania for numerous of times in just an hour.
Ip-ban won't help because they always come back with
an alt or VPN.

This could grab some of our players , because
of a stupid advertisement. My suggestion is
to make a conversation with the server owner,
because this can't keep going on!

If we could fix this thing, both servers would be happy, since
I spoke one of their admins about it, their answer was:
"We actually didn't want this to happen." So I guess
some random bots are doing this.

tbh cute fox this was really nice of you to even pay attention some even head admins may not even pay attention to the huge loss of players but you did and even suggested a fine way to solve the prob

Zerania, I know that server. Played on it before. Not to be rude, but it's trash.

maybe incorporate a plugin that backtracks all vpn to the original ip and destroy it once and for all

Yep you are right the hackers is become in to the server with VPN. The Head-Admins it needs to speak with owner for that problem and to stop the hackers to become into the server with VPN and to stay the hackers at tham ban.
I say that for my side like a normal player.

 

I would suggest making the word "zerania" filtered - i.e. when they said "zernia" it would display as "*****"

 

OR add zerania into the chat filter so it's censored :>

Obviously its not going to work because the server owner is going to say "we are not responsible for other people doing this, we have no control over them" and tbh the servers owner neither the staff is responsible for randy people cominh and spaming the ips.

But a good point to be mentioned.
What @WilyWaldo said if thats possible then that would stop alot of hackers and spammers but i dont think thats possible.our devs cant even fix small bugs how are they gona create a new plugin lmao

 

As some have suggested above, adding the word 'zerania' to the chat filter is currently the best fix to this problem.

 

I talked to the server owner of zerania....btw suggestion:
Make so zerania will be curse word...so when they say the IP it wont show zerania...

They could bypass it easily by changing their text or even change the ip.

Also if they say like play.******.net It's still an advertisement and people can know what server that is. So I would maybe add a plugin which censors whole ip's and only staff can see them. This would be quite better.
