Yea, self-explanatory. Basically, Civilian needs a soulbound stone shovel. So people would say:

'Why?'

Because:

We have a kit with stone sword, a kit with stone pickaxe, another kit with stone axe, so why not a kit with stone shovel? Since the kit by default gives you no advantage in combat, I would say give it a little more advantage in tools along with the crafting table. Let's make civillian with the 'most tools' (a kit with 5 tools: a sword, a pickaxe, a axe, a stone shovel and a crafting table).

Ok, I will hear people saying other things:

'But only some kits are supposed to have shovel, like archer, to gain arrows for the bow it spawns with.'

Well, with archer you are spawned with instant Power I bow and some arrows while with Civilian with the stone shovel and gathering time without having any experience, you only get normal bow and some arrows.

Also, it wouldn't take much time to do, i mean, it is just adding one extra item to one particular kit, so i would cri when someone said it is the waste of developer's time. Finally, it doesn't copy another server with the same gamemode in anyways, as Guildcraft strives to be unique, the stone shovel you are spawned with doesn't copy other kits here too and it's not too overpowered.

 

Such bad idea for me.

Well the point of the shovel isn't just to collect dirt, it makes gathering gravels to obtain arrows, feather, flint (& useless bones) easier. You can make a bow that way easier too. Tbh I would like Civilian to be a kit that can imitate other kits.

Yep, its designed for Archers and Assassins for their arrows, as their profession.
While Civilian is just designed for basic wooden tools for PvP and mining.
Oh, and why is it stone, not wooden? that won't match the kit.

 

Oh, the stone shovel is to help making bow and arrows faster than wooden one, but that will be a step away from it instead of instant soulbound bow like in archer or acrobat.

 

Bro you get an axe, mine one block of wood and you can make a shovel

NO!. this will make civillian kit OP! Imagine, if they have a soulbounded shovel, it will be easier for them to steal from buried/hidden chests filled with farming gears owned by an acrobat planning to farm. lel JK just came back though
