»[Guide] How to Create a Proper Report

Hi there,
My name is Peachiie, today I will be teaching you how to create a proper report. It's simpler than what it might seem.
Before starting, make sure that you have valid evidence. This means that you must make sure that the screenshot or video you had taken before is useful and the player in the evidence can be shown to be breaking the rules or not. To save yourself and various staff members time and effort, make sure of your evidence with a friend or one of your peers that your evidence is accurate. You should also look over the rules before reporting a player: Server Rules - Forum Rules - Prefix & Nickname Rules
Although it is important that you get valid evidence, don't make this scare you off into thinking nothing is going to be accepted. We all make mistakes, and it's totally fine to slip up every now and again. It's the effort that counts!

Speaking of effort, be sure to follow the format provided for you here. It's simply considerate to the staff members so they won't have to dig through the report. It will also be important if you do not want your report to be at risk of being locked.
If you can not seem to find the report format, you will be able to find it in the "Report Users" subsection of the forums. You can also find the format on this thread or even in some members' signatures!

We have all been in the trouble of wondering if our evidence is the correct type of evidence, or if your evidence was not enough and the offender successfully got away. To save you from that, I will be showing you the types of evidence you need for different instances. However, before I start, please take a look at @Thekillermatic's fantastic explanation on why staff members punish players. It might not help out with a report, but it's great knowledge to have for the future. Link

Chat Offenses:
You will find that getting evidence for chat offenders is very simple and does not take much effort. All you will need is your keyboard and you're set.
To begin, make sure this player is actually breaking the rules. I will be using spam as an example. To do so, count how many times this player has said their message in a row. Usually, spamming is four to six messages in a row. These messages can be the same or similar, but different enough to bypass the chat filter. Asking a player, due to the severity, to stop politely is always nice to do before reporting them. They may not even know that they are breaking the rules.
Once you have found the chat offender and you have enough evidence to proceed, open up your chat and press the F2 key or Fn + F2 for Mac and a few other keyboards. Screenshots are automatically saved in the "screenshots" folder within the .minecraft directory.

Hackers:
If you have been on a server for over a month, you know what a hacker is. This player uses a client to have an unfair advantage in-game. Depending on what the client is, this player will be fairly easy to spot. I would suggest doing a little bit of research on clients before going hyper-reporting. You will need a recorder for reporting hackers, I would suggest Bandicam, Mirillis Action! (My personal favorite), or Screencast-o-matic. You might need to take out your recorder pretty quickly, so I recommend pinning the recorder to your task bar for easy access.

I appreciate the compliment, but I highly doubt that is true. No one is too smart to enjoy something.

 

Before creating this thread, I had looked at that and contemplated on if I should make it or not, as it may seem like I'm just making a glorified version of that. However, if you look at my thread it shows how to find your screenshots, what recorders you can use, helpful threads, etc.
Although the thread you have provided is helpful, players still seem to ignore it. It might be because they are lazy, or maybe it is because they don't fully understand what the information means. I just hope that even one player has found my guide helpful.
