OMG wtf... why did we not think about making it so that when you log back on you spawn where your NPC was? Simple, but genius idea xD, i'm gonna add that to the "possible solutions" part of the post, thanks a lot!
+1 This should be added, and its way of work is also easy for developers to code, at least easier than my suggestion do. Because all of my suggestions is too hard or causing lag so they won't add it.

first one is not very effective as the person despawned could be making bridges and someone might break the block below.This is just an example I have a lot other too Second is friggin good Third is also GOOD Well since there are two very good ones I have my own idea which includes both of the good ones and it goes a little something like this... If my game crashes while PvP or anywhere in general my NPC becomes invincible for 15 seconds (if you join within 15 seconds you are good to go but after that your NPC might get killed) and also my NPC does not form on voids
I assumed that you would know that it will check ALL of the blocks below you, not just 100 or something. Lol wtf m8 you're suggesting that the NPC is invincible for its first 15 seconds after it spawns and that you can log back on when the NPC is still up?! do you know how OP and non-sense this idea is?! (sorry for being mean right there xD)
no you didn't get it :/ ok so I explain it the longer way _._ if you are a person at your base and you get kicked or lagged out then your NPC is formed and it is going to invincible for 15 seconds and if you join within those 15 seconds your NPC despawns and where the NPC was you spawn there itself and after you have spawned you can die also if you don't join within 15 seconds your NPC can be killed by players and if you still don't get it then screw it scroll on to the next post
It is a stupid idea that the NPC is invincible for the first 15 seconds after it spawns, i'm not trying to be a d*** but from what I can see from your idea, it is so easy to abuse this, I can just logout when i'm in my base if someone tries to kill me when i'm not paying attention and my teammates would have already protected my NPC from being killed because it was invincible for 15 seconds which gave them more than enough time to protect it, there you go that's a way to abuse it.
I agree that the NPC should be back in Anni Beta. Not everyone in the server has good and perfect internet and I notice some people die because of disconnection and it frustrates them resulting in quitting the playing the game because of all their hardwork gone because of a simple disconnection. Some players tend to get really angry and it might decrease their perspective on the Guildcraft's "fair and fun" game. Would you call it "fun" if all your hard work is gone? Would it be fair that not all of us has good connection and disconnects easily? Besides, I have faith in the staff of Guildcraft that they could find a way to stop NPC logging abuse the have fair game, afterall all games first priority is to make their games fair and well-balanced. Hehe <3
There is no need at all for the invincibility, I can still abuse with the 5 seconds of invincibility that I have, and I really can't see what's the point of having invincibility for the NPCs in the first place.
