I would like to suggest to completely close the GC Store until the problems between GC and Mojang are solved. People gonna use the event to get themselves and their friends to get the highest and the best perks on the server which would ruin everything. It's basically like giving away /gm 1 to everyone for few mins.

Its a type of buisness dude, well as the ranks will no longer be available in the future so many would buy them+the 50% sale is the icing on the cake for axed as alot of buyers.

Something I've thought was funny is how they got real beef with this but dont really care that much about servers being cracked or not, one would think that they would be against cracked servers because it allows players to use pirated copies of there product but no its the idea of pay to win / freemium that they hate.

But who knows maybe in the future they will start shutting down all the cracked servers just like they are shutting down all the p2w now.

According to the ULA there are very very few things a server owner is allowed to sell. Particle, non interactive pets and other (non cape) purely cosmetic things. Nothing that affects game play whatsoever even selling in game currency is strictly forbidden.

Gotta wonder just how well your advertising efforts and other monatezations efforts will pan out.

The 50% off offer is tempting but I have to wonder, what happens if this transition fails. Cant see people forking out 350 euros on pets and particles like they do for kits and titan ranks. What does it actually cost to run guildcraft and what happens when that income is no longer incoming. I'm going to read though the ula and see what ideas I can come up with.

What I really want to know is if new funding dried up today how long would the server still operate.

 

I'm sure there will be cracked copies of 1.9.3 that bypass the blacklist and so on but think about this. How long until mojang kicks it up a notch and starts going after servers in the courts. This is a company that was sold for 2.4 Billion USD, and is currently owned by Microsoft. Microsoft also stopped all litigation with apple. They have enough lawering resources to bully every noncompliant server out of the open internet and probably freeze and seize there assets to boot. Microsofts lawyers are a pack of ravenous wolves you don't want to get near.

So yeah aXed could try to stick it to the man, tell all the players not to update untill new cracked versions come out and so on and keep selling pay to win's, but that's not a move I would want to take.

The 50% sale is a bad idea, after it is over and kits and ranks are no longer being sold, then shit will be really unbalanced and messed up

All new players won't have an option to be able to have the same advantages as some players specially they high rank ones
Servers that rely on p2w kits like kitpvp will be infested with people using the most OP kit while other players will be using barb
Unless non donator kits will be buffed this is a bad idea
Same with ranks you will have people flying with 900 homes and people who rely on kit tools to start out

Here a problem with EULA one this hurts profits form servers in order to improve or even make new innovation to make this server more popular thus they need money to pay off their servers without it this result in a immediate shut down and no longer to maintain this server second of all mojang will lose costumers and revenue since this idea of creating this agreement will be their worst idea in history of gaming this could make a front page of every media in the world as a joke and believe me this idea will not last long best suggest to boycott this game (not playing it or complain until we win) and never try use this idea again.

PS if microsoft try help mojang there be next to be fucked even though there one most poweful remeber minecraft ranked top of most gaming use in the world and that idea of EULA will hurt microsoft as well you can also fight with that.

PSS also microsoft will eventualy cut it off with mojang if we try to protest (peacefully)

 

I'd like aXed would not comply (at least not forever) maybe for now because none of us wants the server gone forever, but we definitely should try to get a talk over this, and make them change their minds :S

And if I go upgrade myself to Hero, I will no longer receive Prot IV iron armour?
As a player with a terrible laptop, these particles/cosmetics make NO difference. As I will disable them all. Donating to servers for cosmetics means people will barely donate.
Which basically means, Mojang cut the nerves of all servers and they will all slowly bleed to death. Correct me if I interpreted this wrongly.

The servers had a 50% off sale before, last I recall being in the summer of 2014 and it was actually quite successful.This is just a sale like any other, not some event that happens once in a lifetime; I think the point is for people to buy themselves and friends the best things they can buy before they don't have that opportunity anymore.

 

If this Idea will go on in the name of heaven, hell, void, Galaxy,unknown,nebula,purgatory or even universe the game called "minecraft" will not be in instance (just like flappy birds) and the whole game will shut it self off mojag will no longer exist as well due minecraft is a backbone of the company and will end up in our computers a box (when you click) says this game is no longer in existence
